I signed into my school account, how do I remove extensions now? I have an extension called Connect for Chrome - Education by Linewize that blocks and tracks stuff on my computer.
Also, is it safe to update to a newer version of ChromeOS, or should I stay on 87 if I want to re-enroll?

Sign in to your personal account, your school account will sync extensions so you will have a hard time with that. Make sure to add your school acc as a second user and login every once in a while so it doesn't show on the admin dashboard as "offline for (super long time) days"

By the way, since I wasn't checking XDA forums for the winter break, I don't know or really understand some of these new methods at all very well, could someone please explain what we found real quick?
Also, L1AM823, what did you bypass, and how?
(I'm sorry for not checking the forums, I got caught up with Christmas and was spending time with my family, I don't even really think I touched my Chromebook at all)

It's more like a game of Whack-a-Mole for the schools; One proxy shows up, gets blocked, another one pops up, and rinse and repeat.

bruh my school is extra af with the chromebook restrictions like i dont have dev mode, terminal. i literally cannot use any useful settings or websites (not even chrome://sync-internal, which i tried to use to get the password thru like hex encoder, base64 decoder), cant delete extensions but in one of my classes we use like the old mac pcs and ive tried to do like keychain, terminal, you name it but i dont admin password so i literally cant and its annoying bc the service in the school is so basically non existent unless your on the top floor and ofc they dont give us the wifi password. anyways i feel like there definitely has to be a way to use a usb stick to get the wifi password but i have no clue on how to do something like that and google is no help. maybe theres an easier way but like i wanna **** around w a usb stick bc i only just found out you can put like games, portable apps and like scripts n **** on it. so if anybody has an idea im begging u help me

When you say "chrome://sync-internal", which method is that? I haven't heard of that link, and on further inspection, it isn't blocked for me. Could you tell me which method that is and how to use it, please?

Hey guys! I've been watching this thread for a while. I haven't been able to talk because I couldn't confirm my email due to my school blocking almost all proxies. While I was watching though I decided to amass a bunch of proxies for you guys. I am in SC though so I don't know if some of them will work or not, but hopefully they do.

As of a while ago, a bounch of things got patched (sh1mmer, downgrading, and a few others) but LTBeef 2.0 is out, this time called LTMeat

the link is probably blocked - here you go:
**STEP ONE:** Find a page belonging to the extension you want to disable. `chrome://extensions`, `chrome://extensions-internals`, and `chrome://process-internals` are all good places to find your extension's ID (a 32-character lowercase string). You can also just do a simple Google search. Once you have your ID, substitute it into the hostname in the URL below:

    `chrome-extension://extensionidhereblahblah/manifest.json`
For some filters like Securly, the block screen is already an extension page.

**STEP TWO:** Bookmark the extension page (bookmark A) if you wish. Then, bookmark `chrome://kill` (B) and `chrome://hang` (C).

**STEP THREE:** While on the extension page (A), click the `chrome://kill` bookmark (B). The page should crash. You should already have the next step prepared.

**STEP FOUR:** Quickly (within three seconds) reload and instantly spam `chrome://hang` (bookmark C) for a second or two. And I mean instantly.

And as usual, ALL credit goes to TN
Note: the incog exploit still works, you can go back to page 38 of this thread iirc to find it (might be a reply that you have to click on)

At my school, we have Chromebooks and a service/extension called securly. Me and my buddies have been trying to bypass it since it was first introduced last year. We are cool with the tech teacher and we have been trying to get passed him for a long time.

    Any help on bypassing securly?

Note, inspect element has been blocked along with all extensions except for some adblockers. You can also only sign in on our district accounts. I do not want to powerwash it nor uninroll it(if that's how you spell it haha)

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
    Gavin

    all you have to do is open a console (default chrome: ctrl+shift+j) and put this code in: var a=true;while(a){alert(a);}
then hit enter. when the msg box appears, click the check box that says "prevent this page from showing additional diologs" (or something like that)
your filter should be disabled until you restart.

By the way, just for the future of this forum, should we celebrate it when it reaches 50 pages long, or 100? Or both separately as milestones? Anyone's thoughts?

The Schools are Using this system for: 1. To Keep Kids on Focus at all times and not playing games or pirating videos. By Using this system they can also block specific sites and forbid specific downloads
, though on a computer or desktop you can just use Microsoft Store and Bypass all of that
. This strives to ensure that Students remain on task at all times and not playing around on the computer or desktop, laptop, Chromebook, and Cell Phones. This also helps insure that none can use their phones to take unwanted videos or pictures and post them on Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, Linked In, etc.). So maybe you should use this opportunity to broaden your horizons while you still have the chance.

lol get outa here school supporter

My dudes, go to securly in the shelf double tap, click on manage extensions, in the top right hand corner it says developer mode click it then scroll down to the ID if its blue Its a link (if not then you're screwed) then you will be in the OS console then simply type in this:

    window.close()

    exactly like that k?
if its still blocking stuff then just set up a hotspot (phone wifi) then go to school and BAM, no securly

    welcome,
    me

HAHA lol we are cool they cant see it in your search history plus while i was on it some dude was looking at some anime "stuff"

(school chromebook cant say *deep, sarcastic breath* certain things lets just say its a "chicken wearing a tie"
(metaphore) but I fond an exploit down above if you can see it then you are welcome.

The first part would work, but usually dev mode is disabled :/
Also a hotspot wouldn't help because securely checks the url in your address bar, not your web traffic. If it were something like sonicwall that would work, but not securely

lol sorry to poke holes in your help, just trying to make it easier for others
