  • If coming from another ROM or another major AOKP version, wipe data in recovery
  • Make sure you're using the latest CWM, TWRP or COT recovery
  • Flash ROM
  • Flash Google Apps (GAPPS)
  • Reboot

Just out of curiosity: is there a reason for CM Privacy Guard not being included in AOKP? Would love to see it in there...

AOKP contains a lot of CM optimizations therefore it is "CyanogenMod enabled" as the site says. However, since I am not an AOKP dev this is not the appropriate thread to ask about features.

I did not request a feature from you. I just ask if you know why it's not integrated.

The reason for the CM enabled on AOKP's site, is because AOKP uses CM's device trees, vendor blobs, etc. to build their ROMs. AOKP uses the more experimental branch, whereas CM tends to stick with stable. The "CM enabled" phrase is a way of acknowledging that AOKP would not be possible without CM...
