Hi all,

ever since i rooted my phone and flashed another ROM, i have been having this problem of very very long charging to 100%. I did attempt to calibrate the battery after flashing the ROM by the way.

First CM7, then Virtuous Inquisition, now Ordroid.

From 1% to 70% it would be quicker. Then from 71% and onward, it will take hours to move. I am using the original usb cable n adapter for charging, i can't seem to figure out what can be wrong.

Or did i calibrate the battery in a wrong way?

Hi, I'm on ordroid too and it takes me two to three hours to fully charge with my wall charger. I'm using a different battery, extended life Anker battery. My stock battery was so bad it took too long to charge and ran out so quickly! Are you using stock battery still or a another battery? If it's stock, you might want to consider a long lasting battery. I've found it charges faster and lasts longer. I hope this helps :)

It is intended to do that, i think.... I read before somewhere, too lazy to look for it though lol... It slows down the charging when its near completion to avoid battery damage.... Mine does the same thing, i give my phone atleast 7 or 8 hours from as low as 15 to 10 percent

Hi,
this not normal. My Sensation takes between 1 or 2 hours to full charge from empty.
After charging, how long you can run on battery?
When charging, is screen on or off? any application draining battery?
Regards

I think you just might have an issue with your charger. Go get a new one and see how that works out for you. If that doesnt fix it - get an anker battery :)

Honestly this seems more likely to be not normal. 0 to 100 in one hour with this phone would blow me away.

It might be the usb cord or usb wall plug... The one that came with the phone works the best for me. All the other ones usually give me a problem...

Are you serious..? I always thought something is wrong with my phone because of the long charging time. Many in the forum of custom ROM will feedback they charge for 2-3 hrs to full battery though..

My battery can last for 4-5 hours under constant usage of data and apps, before going to less than 10%.

Try to use different usb cord and wall charger, if it still giving you problem, i suggest u either do a fresh install your current rom or install a different rom.

thanks for the advices..

it just came to my mind, that before I flashed any ROMs, when i was still using stock HTC Sense 3.0, it used to only take 2-3 hrs to full charge. Now it's 6. :(

Doubt that, mine charges to 100 in about an hour and a half (Running HyperNonSense).

If you're using a USB charger, make sure the phone knows the power source is (AC) and not USB. USB will charge a lot slower. Dial *#*#4636#*#* for testing info and look under battery information (There's probably another spot in settings but this is my favorite).

Also use the original power adpater that came with the device, or one that came with another similar device.

Mine takes 4-8 hours to charge in any ROM. Last night it was almost 9 hours from 3% to 100%

When it reaches 60 more or less it's like 100% if you reboot. I do reboot everytime to stop the wait. I don't know if that's bad but this phone charges very slow after some percentage is reached.

This is crap, what you´re doing!
If you charge the battery, the phone doesn´t know how much capacity it got. (Could be an old battery or a bigger/smaller non-stock battery) So the device will recorgnice how fast the battery adopt the power and estimate when it slows down on a specific value when to stop and show 100%.

If you will restart the device during the loading sequence, it makes a battery calibration and thinks your on 100%. But of course it is still on 60%.
Your just fooling yourself :D
