well...I''ll give you my personal feedback, and my opinion about sense 4
UI is designed very well, very very nice, colored, useful...
BUT what about performance?! gaming is really laggy, there is no way to have a no-lagging homescreen, today I tried ordroid with bricked kernel at 1.5 and 2 mods (ram management and full dual core), I was trying to take out the best and see if with some mods and oc that would be fine, and is still laggy!!! no way
I...am...very disappointed...
someone else? or I am the only one?

It's not official for Sensation and it's ported from an another device - ehich means this is somewhat expected.
So rather say dissapointed in the sense 4 PORT, than just sense 4.

Yeah but if the port comes from another device using the same SoC (hell, it's basically the same device), performance should be pretty goddamn close.

OP, I agree. Sense 4 is too laggy for me. I change between AOSP roms and Grogg's Sense 3.6 T-Mobile rom.

the only reason i can come up with is ..your rom flash failed rather than sense 4

did you checked the md5 sum of the rom you had ?
sense 4 is never been laggy ...not after the ville-c ruu leaks..and one of the smoothest rom's ive ever seen

Well I can change my wording on this. It's not laggy, it's just slow. From the homescreen > Menu > Settings > Two Second Wait > Settings Opens. Tap Power > Wait a Second > Wait for the Transition > Power Opens.

It's just annoying how slow it can be compared to Sense 3.6 and AOSP.

Yes it is a port, but I tried a one s ban it has the same lags...
I think its htc fault...I'm using aokp for a decent ui experience...
For me dead space lags so much...homescreen has a single lag when you switch....you can see it if you swipe the finger slowly...you see a little lag on widgets
...hell!!

From other reports, Sense 4 Rosie is laggy even on the HTC One series devices.

I do not know this first have, but I have read several reports about it.

I recently ran a Sense 4 ROM again (First time sense...I guess sense Ordroid first came available), I agree, it is no where near as smooth as the Sense 3.6. I don't do any gaming, just regular use, so I can't say anything on the gaming.

also for me Sense 4.0 is not laggy. Did you overclocked your GPU? if yes, this could be a problem. Install bricked kernel without overclocking GPU, it`s the best set up for me. Just though

Definitely has some lag/slowness on my end. It's not terrible, but it's considerably slower than AOSP. I'm giving some thought to bailing on Ordroid because its just not smooth enough

what? this used to happen when im on sense 3.6 too ..so i took it for granted ..that sense roms are bit slow ...you are saying that on sense 3.6 you never had those time gaps? (i thought only AOSP roms are capable of that )

im very interested in what sense 3.6 rom..you got those results :)

for eye-candy you can go for sense 4 or whatever.. but, when performance and speed comes in to play, you have got no other option than cyanogenmod ;)
unluckily, we don't have a stable build for htc sensation... what we can do is WAIT HOPEFULLY ;)

Just gotta wait for that RC1 of CM to hit and we're golden. But other than that. I'm sticking with Sense 3.6. Offers much more speed, and looks great. Tons of modifications available for Sense 3.6 still to this day. Elegancia T-Mobile Rom 1.1.0 Runs like a beast.

you know what I think?
1-sense 3.6 is faster and isn't laggy because it haven't the scrolling wallpaper...try to set a locked wallpaper and you'll see that (even if is weird to see) the launcher will run like god's nexus!

2- I think android runs better on single core SOCs...the one v have no lags at all, I tried it...

3- generally the best aosp rom is miui, but since we don't have a real aosp version (I don't trust the cm9 based one) I use aokp...aokp is definitely the best rom for our device now! cm9 is quite laggy for me, too...

yes, sense 4 is not slow, is very fast, but I'm talking about lags, not about speed...
