Finally getting it now on T-Mobile

Just got my update on T-Mobile via OTA now too. Just checked for update and it was there.

Same as others: no update despite daily button mash of check for updates. Popped in verizon sim, and update is now available.
I see someone else did get the update who is on T-Mo. Possibly this is related to there being a Carrier Services Update available in the Play Store?

Carrier services app is automatically disabled for me on TMobile. I can enable and update, but it doesn't seem to affect anything. The next day or so the app is disabled again.

Nope, according to chatting with support about the updates being delayed for TMO customers, they send the update to the carriers, then the carriers then send it out afterwards. Once they send it to the carrier, it is up to them of how long it takes to send it to us.

That is true of other phones prior to the Pixels, but your support rep is incorrect on this phone. The Google bought pixel updates come from Google. The phone isn't even offered from T mobile, T mobile isn't going to set up an update system for a phone they don't sell. Google isn't going to feed those updates to a provider they are not doing business with

Next time you get an OTA hit your logcat, you will see the URL where it came from. It will say Google.

If that was the case, why did a bunch of T-Mobile subscribers just get the OTA? Coincidence, nah I doubt it. Tell me why I put my Verizon sim in and the OTA appears, but when i put my TMobile SIM and it is no where to be found. The evidence points towards the carriers still.

Edit: it may still come from Google but the carriers put their modem tweaks in before it is sent out. Just look at some of the builds have specific carriers

Edit 2: I'm curious to see if Sprint, US Cellular, and project fi customers as well get delayed security updates.

I'm on Project Fi and the September security patch OTA came in on Monday evening Eastern Time.

Can I ask if the September update is actually out in the UK? I can't check as am rooted and already sideloaded the ota, but my friend has a full stock pixel 2xl and hasn't received the update yet. He had no issues before all updates came the day they were released. He tried to remove sim card and check for the update, through WiFi and 4g, but nothing pops up. Does anybody have an idea what's happening? He doesn't let me sideloade or play with his device, saying that's not the "official" way... ?

Yes I'm not sure where he got the phone from, but using it with a Vodafone sim. Anyway, I will try to get him to sideload it as something seems to be wrong here... ?

Yes checked with no sim on WiFi. I'll try to convince him to sideload the update. But I also find it weird why the ota doesn't show up... That's a 100% stock phone, never been unlocked and until now all updates came in time...

Seems to be a lot of that happening this month. More than usual.

Guess what! I sideloaded the update today, worked fine and now he's asking for root! ?? He says he actually likes the swipe to sleep and wake gestures on my phone... ? (I'm using exkernel). That's how it all starts I guess... ? He will never look back... ?
