Hi all, when I had tried to improve way how to obtain firmware I occasionally found service manual for P500. I'm not sure if it is ok with forum rules because of "LG internal use only" on pages of manual, but this sheet can be helpful for developers. So till Zecanilis doesn't approve this "case" for me, I will wait. For now, developers who wants this service manual, PM me. I'll provide it for you.

//Edit: Ok, maybe you are all right. If is something wrong with rules, admin can remove link :p

So... here is the treasure http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/LGP500/AVIVBK/1.0/EN_LG-P500_SVC_ENG_101008.pdf

can someone extract it and post it? my browser says no pdf or corrrupted document :(

Why don't you just post the document... I don't see why that should be prohibited ;-)

As I am a new user I am unable to post new links
1.To prevent spam to the forums, ALL new users are not permitted to post outside links in their messages. After approximately eight posts, you will be able to post outside links. Thanks for understanding!
So here is the url. add http : // and remove spaces in the link

T-Mobile Optimus T (P509) Manual Listing (User and Service Manuals available)

Very cool, thanks to all the posters !

As for the Hidden Menu Service Code 3845#*500#, I hate to be an Android Nube (I AM an embedded Linux dev), but at what screen do I enter those numbers ?

That LGDP2 software shown in section 5: Could that be used to unlock these phones ?

I'm trying some different queries to see what other manuals can be found. I want whatever's available for my Optimus Chic LG-E720b. Couldn't even find a users manual on the "legitimate" internet when I searched a few days back.

I think that if LG is making these available on the public internet (Albeit not easy to find), there shouldn't be any legal or moral issues with sharing the links or docs.

I tried various queries and found the Optimus Chic (E720b) service manual:

http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/LGE720B/ABLMBK/20101207/EN_LG-E720b_SVC_ENG_101201.zip

Here's the E720 (with no 'b'):

http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/LGE720/ATELBK/20101027/EN_LG-E720_SVC_ENG_101027.zip

There are many more manuals and softwares up there to be found by constructing queries such as this one I used to find my E720b:

http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/sw_manual_list.jsp?model=LGE720B&suffix=ATMOBK

The results should be clickable HTML I'd think, but for whatever reason they aren't for me, so I have to manually find the URLs I want.

Is there a link somewhere that works better for searching ?

Service manual for E720b says there's an "Engineer Menu" accessed by 277634#*#
but that did nothing on my Chic.

I modified the One code: 3845#*500# to 3845#*720# and that worked fine.
