SetCPU updated with CPU support for Tegra2 Dual Core!

I just foreward this from a thread I saw in Xoom forum!

SetCPU updated!

I set my CPU to 1000mhz at screen on and the stock kernel quadrant test give me a boot from 1700 to 1900


Waiting for custom rom that can scale this beast further like Xoom's! (1.5GHz so far and Quandrant 3100 on average....)

NICE! Something tells me though the Xoom is going to get a lot more love than the streak.. I mean it's been out a week and already they have more dev going on for it than the streak
If I knew how to dev on android I would do some work on custom roms but I'm a windows dev

stock is 1ghz but it's underclocked to 800

I set mine to be 1000 mhz all the time when screen is on

Not sure if it is a good idea.. Will monitor the performance n battery for a few days

I set mine the same min/max at 1000 and have a screen off profile at 246/246

Quandrant is not capable of dual core cpu yet.

You can try clear its data and force stop and then run again. watch CPU benchmark make sure it is running 13/13. otherwise it wont submit test resutls.

overheating because of setCPU?

Not sure where the CPU of streak 7 is located.

Today the streak 7 restarted probably due to overheat as I feel low right side of the device gets a little hot.

I then force stop SetCPU and restarted the S7 now it seems fine.

not completely isolate the cause yet, but does anyone have similar issue? (after setting profile 1000/1000 for screen on ?

Three possible reasons for the overheating-> restart

1. setCPU

2. JuiceDefender beta 3.4.3 (but it has been there for a week and there was no such incidents before)

3. new SDHC card (32GB class sd card was installed 3 days ago and I got some restarts since then ... hmmm)

Any tips to look at please help.

I checked logcat, did not find any direct link ..
