First i whant to thanks for your great rooms you made.

So i have one question to made about your room 6.5.3 marvell dream 2 going to final, i have already install in my i780i so in last summer i go to another country the roaming its activated Automatically with no problem, so the screem its alwas on, i try to shut of the screem but i few seconds he goes on again, the problem is the baterry goes down very quick 2- 3 hours... so my question is is any way to fix this?
however i install de room 6.5.1 classi marvell but i don.t like it because it don,t very optimize for touch like 6.5.3.

Thank you for reply, but Im about year on classic marvell and have no probs with.
Its strange issue about my 6.5.3, but I think problem was in installed software, if you try clean 6.5.3 I dont think it will have this issue again.

messaging replacement for Windows Mobile

Hi everybody!

First off, thank you Heineken78 for the great rom and all your involvement and dedication to keep i780 up and running with newest software available.

Do you know if there is some workaround of very annoying issue I get trying to insert a file as an email attachment in windows mobile mail client: you can't go deeper into subfolders to chose files from - you only can explore folders in the root directory of either main memory or SD card. There is of course an option "All Folders" but it's like looking for a needle in a haystack. Maybe there is some decent replacement software?

P.S. For almost 4,5 years I've been using my i780 and still have no plans to change it in a coming year.

For sure are "MARVELL DREAM" series, wm653 and 651. I preffer wm651 (classic).

I downloaded rom i780MARVELL2_128DPI_BOOT_PDA.WWE.EXE (page 252/download via mediafire) and have a problem. After about some minutes my PDA request a password to unlock: "Enter your password and tap "Unlock." I have never set any password and automatic locking. What is this? I need to soft reset the PDA and this helps. But after some minutes the story is the same.
Please help..

I have problem with farsi/persian fonts in the text massages and contacts, I intalled the alireza (etc) app to resolve this problem but it is not working for orginal apps of win mobile such as text, outlook, contacts etc...

can anyone help me?

I found a new i780 on ebay, flashed marwell dream classic and using as a 3g modem (via bluetooth PAN) for my nexus 10, still great phone ...

Mouse + keyboard + Windows have made great PDA with full communictaion possibilities.
Sure I was making ROM to like it. And Im glad that you enjoy it too

Its really sad that google has broken smartphone maket with android, so MS was forced to make wp7(8) totally useless as PDA.
WinMo is RIP. But i780 is alive! Small PC with pentium II speeds in your pocket.

Sure you can Donate me if you want. Now Im able to get payments after years..

its true that google has broken the smart phone market with their android. and we're very thankful that up to this time you still made wonderful improvements to this phone model.

this phone is still with me and functional up to this day. even that i do have my android unit i keep this unit as my everyday phone and i love using it as my messaging phone. very stable and flexible enough to handle my daily task.

Just wanna post that I'm still using this phone hahaha!
Mainly as GPS when I get lost.
I couldn't get the wifi tethering to work else I can make this phone as a 3G modem too. I tried pdanet but it's not working.

Hello all.
I know that this is not the right topic for my question, but it's only i780 topic with any activity at all.
My question is: can anyone share download link for i780 english language Windows Mobile 6.0 (Yes six dot zero!) firmware. Region is not that imortant or revision. I only need it to be 6.0 and in english (well Serbian will be ok too, but there is no such firmware for i780).
I need the 6.0, and not 6.1 or 6.5, because my old i780 has faulty flash memory and only works with 6.0 (with 6.1 it cant use sms and ringer is silent, with 6.5 it wont boot). In service they told me that flash is faulty and that repair would be costier than comparable new device, and they havent had 6.0 f/w only 6.1. I was able to find 6.0 firmware in russian and i780 mostly works with it.

Tomash I suggest you to try first EXE version of ROM. because Exe loader is testing phone memory. It its fail, try other and other bin builds.
I meet same situation. 1 ROM from 3 is booted on friends device.
Its not depended from WM version its depended from package.

Thanks for advice.
However i have tried several wm 6.5 roms and none booted. Official 6.1 boots but it is unusable. Apps are crashing, and ringer is silent. SMS app cant open received smses.
With 6.0 it mostly works, except that some apps crash sometimes.
