SGP321 10.1.1.A.1.307 root without unlock bootloader

1.Download SO-03E_10.1.e.0.265kernel_Unbranded.ftf

2. Flash downloaded ftf file using flashtool.

3. Download root tool from
https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=d419e72a27c5bdd1&id=D419E72A27C5BDD1%21182&authkey=!AC7v0GDr5kWzT6M
upzip the file and run install.bat

4. flash back SGP321_10.1.1.A.1.307 kernel using flash tool

I can confirm that it works without any problems on my SGP321 LTE version. No bootloader unlock required. Finally root! Yay! Thanks!

it is normal to flash US/EU version of tablet z with japan kernel? More replies on successful root welcome.

This bricked my tablet.
Flashed the first file, tablet doesn't start up anymore afterwards, so subsequently can't root or even just reflash the other file.
Haven't had time to look into it yet, but unless someone can recommend something else will have to use Sony Companion to restore.

I tried it on a Mac, running the .bat-commands manually over adb. It worked. Got a rooted SGP321 LTE 16 GB running 307 firmware.

If the root would works, i can take a customrom on my tablet, is that right?

*Edit... I encountered a problem... I cant able to charge it with usb. It says plug in sony charger instead. and i cant seem to get it work as mass storage only sdcard works as mass storage. is it just me?? **
