Few customization after rooted
1. Enable Softkeys. However, since I stay away from xposed (for the time being), I use below mentioned method to disable hardware keys
2. Disable hardware keys (partial, not applied to home button) using free app : Hardware Buttons Begone
3. Double tap home button to sleep, fingerprint works [in case using 3rd party launcher] using Button Mapper
4. Center Clock Mod [Substratum] by AL_IRAQI
5. Adaptive navbar background : Navbar Apps [to avoid unseen navbar icons on top of white navbar background].
6. Enable fingerprint to sleep (but I use #3 instead). Root Essentials (or other fingerprint gesture apps)
7. Navbar icons theme using Custom Navigation Bars
Theming required pro version, if you are using xposed, check this out : https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/xposed-pixel-navigation-bar-pixel-t3502987
8. Custom bootanimation , I chose zenfone 4 version, which is way cooler and simpler than dated zenfone 3’s
9. Hide particular status bar icon(s) : SystemUI Tuner
10. Safety net bypass, should pass as long as xposed not installed, if not use magisk modules from related post https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/xiaomi-safetynet-fix-t3600431 and https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-magiskhide-props-config-t3789228
I know it’s a short and limited list and few other mod could be found on zenfone 3 forum not included here. Kindly share any working tricks / substratum mods / xposed modules / flashable in use that can add customization to our device. Credits to original contributors and devs.
