That "LGUP_Cmd.exe LGUP_GET_INFO" gives you the com port used.
Also you can change it to some smaller value in device manager.

When using lgflashtool these changes are mentioned even in service manuals.
For example com41 was mentioned for my phone, LG m250....

It is in normal boot mode where it says that com port. Normally lgup can reboot the device
into laf mode, but what is it this command line version needs. The media/file mode port of
android os or the port in laf mode. Actually I don't know....

If in laf/download mode try "reg query HKLM\hardware\devicemap\SERIALCOMM"
It's the other one having "diag" in its name....

In fact, ALL lgup_dll MSI installer install above files onto your computer,
please check if you have all files installed properly.
and is any safeguard software on your PC block the LGUP to "USE' these files.

same error, that we have when extract dll from kdz
The file is not signed.
DLL for is not installed properly.
Please, install DLL package(*.msi).Download Error
Need to use IDA to decompile the DLL and LGUP exe, to check what is the error message "install DLL package(*.msi).Download Error", and why LGUP shows this ERROR message.

Now that you mention it. I'm going to try to replace the Data1.cab file in the dll msi with the one from the LG V40 ThinQ. I'll see if that works.
