hi,

have a little problem, after flashing boot.img and vendor_boot.img it seems there is no recovery flashed. can´t boot in recovery with keys or with "fastboot reboot recovery" . always boot directly in fastboot.

before that i foolishly not look at the steps and i flashed TWRP and tried to flash the ROM with that, which doesn´t work, (failed to mount few partitions) now i´m without an os.

what can i do now, im grateful any help

hi rayman95....thanks for your work ! (y)
What ist the difference between this LineageOS vs. LiR PRoject (LiR Project Rom (LOS 18.1 Based on) 22/01/28 build) ?
What would you prefer ? seems that LiR is more current ?

the phone was a bad buy - as it contained too much spyware for me - but as there are now 2 alternative roms it would be nice if you would explain to us/myself the advantages/disadvantages of the two roms...thanks in advance

btw.... the boot.img ist still to big (more than max allowed" i´ve used your Link here but still to big ???:
Link for the boot.img too big for being attached here, look my AFH
--> UPDATE. seems that i ve got the wrong/old adb/fastboot-tools

LOS is custom rom and LiR is GSI rom..methods of flash are different but it's same rom..I prefer GSI LiR, because easiest way of flash and better battery...

thanks, rayman
was able to successfully install Lineage yesterday using your instructions.
point 3 - fastboot reboot recovery had not worked for me - but that could have been due to the outdated adb-tools. -

GSI Rom/Treble Rom... I do not know much about this :-(

Is it easy to update vom LOS to LiR ? ;-) (waving the fencepost... do not wonder,is a german idiom)

look my tuto, here, how to flash GSI, there is up to date tools...update from LOS to LIR is maybe possible, but clean flash from stock is better...flash last stock but A11, not A12

Hi, after trying many gsi, i settled with this rom rom because i could not get text messages to work. The only issue i get on this rom are phantom touches near the status bar. Its as if a bunch of taps are being made, turning of the phone due to double tap, or just showing the notification area

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Base source code is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to the project, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.

I'm im still deciding to flash or not to flash custom rom on my phone
But can someone explain it to me how to do it? I mean I know how to flash rom but I cant find simple steps for flashing.
I'm currently on stock MIUI, didnt touched anything?
What are steps for me? For what I can understand
    1. Unlock bootloader
    2. steps from: https://drive.google.com/file/d/13rLVqeowVTRWivrpgenl-7k60r7tVB66/view
Is that it or am I missing something in between?
You forget to activate Dev option before flash, then you can go

After trying several Android 12 ROMs in the past few days, this ROM just feels like magic! Gone are the HUGE letters and wasteful whitespace everywhere. Gone are the dull color schemes. Everything looks crisp & sharp! My phone feels like a serious piece of tech again, and blazing fast! Thanks @NeoArian.

@rayman95 I flashed the boot and the vendor_boot images to the partitions with the same name, instead of to boot_ab and vendor_boot_ab as you suggested, and everything seems to work fine. What's the difference?
