Hmmm, it's really hard to get it running.
I only get twrp running, but after flashing the rom, i am stuck in the bootloader.

When I try to flash the two files from here, i am stuck in the bootloader, too...

mi problem is not installing miui, this works flawlessly (okay sometimes the connecations hangs in fastboot), but installing any custom rom didn't work.

installed MIUI 12.5.7.0 flashed the boot.img to boot_ab, flashed the dtbo image to dtbo, rebooted => back to fastboot

If i flash twrp to boot_ab i can use it. but when i flash the the zip file, i get

failed to mount '/system_ext' (Invalid argument)
failed to mount '/product' (Invalid argument)

Okay found a solution:
1. Install via fastboot MiUI 12.5.7.0
2. boot into MIUI
3. Reboot
4. Install PixelExperience Recovery

fastboot flash vendor_boot this.img
fastboot flash boot recovery_file_from_rom_url.img
fastboot reboot recovery

5. Install Image from this rom.
6. Make a Firmware Update

After the installation you will also have lineageOS Recovery

HI, ive had this issue with all roms, including this one and pixel experience in which i get rapid ghost taps in the status bar, its really annoying. This doesnt happen with stock global rom or gsi images. any idea why?

Do you have Bluetooth media audio? Phone calls work just fine, but playing music over the headphones/car does not work for me. I used MiUI 12.5.7.0 and flashed as in @jokergermany post above.

No issue for me, music and call on car

EDIT: I flashed just the firmware 13.0.8.0 and it seems to work for now.

yeah after this i made a firmware update (which i nearly forgot), will add this.
