You can easy try if you backup your running kernel in TWRP (boot.img and dtbo.img) and restore back if you've get problems

For me zoom is without any kinds of problems.
Which ROM you are using?

Did you've followed this step by step?
2. Flash boot.img (unzip before flashing)
3. Flash dtbo.img
4. Flash your magisk version
5. flash DfE ...or not
6. Delete dalvik, cache

13.0.2.0. I did exactly everything. Maybe the problem is formatting chache and dalvik, because recovery will not do it on an encrypted partition. I did it from within the app

Everything explained, but you did not mention that it will not work on miui. Someone asked if it would work on miui 13. Well, a new system, the kernel could work well on 12 a11. We already know: it works on miui, but errors can occur.

[Case_]

Picked up courage to try this on MiuiMix 13.0.2. Boots fine, thankfully, and supports KCAL, which was what I was missing on the stock kernel, even though it seems to have some issues (the settings are not applied immediately, you have to also turn on/off the reading mode).

Rooted fine using Magisk 24.1.

Sadly seems that I have lost Google Pay, it now says it's not set up. But it's very finicky with root, so I'm hopeful.

The view.touch_slop setting doesn't seem to do anything, at least set at 0, but the pinch zoom actually works fine as far as I could test so far, it's just that you have to initiate it with a rather fast movement of your fingers - if you just try slowly pinching/zooming, it won't respond, but if you do it fast enough, it will work (and once you "activate" it, you can then slow down and adjust the zoom like normal as long as you keep touching the screen). So maybe some sensitivity setting?

OK, nevermind, it is indeed completely broken in some apps (GCam, Vivaldi). In some it works like I described (Maps, for example), and in some it seems to work perfectly fine (Camera Roll).

Also it anybody is wondering whether it is possible to restore your backup of boot.img and dtbo.img from TWRP on a MiUI 13 ROM, then the answer to that is...nope Doesn't boot anymore if you do. Thankfully you can reflash this kernel and it boots again.

I do not know what the problem is, but restoring from a copy and installing images, after rebooting the smartphone boots into recovery every time. I tried by fastboot, still the same, I do not know what the problem is. The tips helped a little, it works a little better. Best regards

In cherishos (OSS) are non of your described issues reproducible.
I've changed also the kernel many times and also many times restored my favorite with ofox without any problems.

Your test is very helpful to see the difference between OSS and MIUI vendors base
