How is fast charge on vantom kernel ? someone said they are using arrowOS(12)+vantom, and charge time is 1 hour 15 mins.

I am on ArrowOS 11+vantom, no fast charge
You've replied to MIUI version.
I didn't use MIUI.
I'm on crdroid and
charging is around 60 % in 45 minutes. For me it's enough.

Update sleepy kernel 13.3.
Looks great on crdroid 8.2
i have vantom valentine + prevoius derp miui (not last)
usually i have at end of day (5% battery remain) 7h sot - 8h screen off and deep sleep, is not bad, is not good
when i was in crdoid10 sometimes i had 9h sot !! derp drain a lot when in use

do you think sleepy is better than vantom for saving battery ?

I suggest to try.
Backup boot and dtbo before, so you can go easily back if sleepy isn't good for you

I'm trying the MIUI version "valentinesedition." With the stock MIUI 12.5.9, heavily debloated, unlocked, with TWRP and magisk. Stock MIUI in an attempt to keep the camera app. I'm trying this kernel so I can run WireGuard in kernel mode in an attempt to fix the wireguard connection dying while the phone is sleeping.

WireGuard is working in kernel mode, and it's better, but still has the problem with the connection dying, as if the keepalive packets aren't even being sent while it's sleeping at times.

Some things I notice: The Always On Display sometimes turns off and it won't wake up, even tapping the screen.

I noticed about 6-7% battery drain after 5 hours of idle time.

The fast charging still worked as before, charging 50% (from around 30% - 80%) in around 30 minutes.

I've moved on to ArrowOS11 with the holifix OSS kernel. I'd use the stock kernel, but it doesn't have wireguard support. The vantom kernel does have wireguard support. It's mostly ok.

Fast charge was still pretty fast and with AOD off, I lost about 3% battery after 10 hours of idle time (66% to 63%).

One issue I notice is with AOD on, the screen keeps blinking on and off, making it pretty much unusable.

cause is vantom+oss.. happen in all roms with this combo (vendor oss+vantom)

for example in derp with vendor miui + sleepy (or vantom) it not happen.. but drain is not good... is 2%h when aod active and screen off...

Thanks a lot! I was looking for some kernels to try, but clearly wasn't successful enough.

Unsurprisingly, everything works just fine with this one. So confirmed to be usable even on MIUI 13. I even managed to get Google Pay working again, though it took some persuading (but that's normal). And KCAL does still misbehave sometimes and needs to be "kickstarted" via the reading mode, but that's clearly a deeper issue, as that sometimes happened even on A11/MIUI 12 with custom kernels.

And it does indeed feel smoother (which was already true with the OSS version).

hi if can useful i tried a lot...
    im in derp

1 test: derp oss + vantom stock
not good, with aod enabled screen blink, no deep sleep, no double tap to wake.. bb is bad (with aod enabled and vantom ALL OSS rom have these problems, ALL !)

2 test: derp miu + vantom birthday edition
resolved all problems because vendor is miu.. no blink, dobule tap to wake working, deep sleep work with backgroud process active too ( for example if i dont close game and screen off, he go in deep sleep)
bb seems very good when in idle (<1%) but after few days idle became >2%..
i don't know why... no wakelock..

    3 test: derp miui+vantom valentine (198)
some test2 but with one difference
if i dont close game and screen off i have no deep sleep.. bb is a lot better than birthday edition too, but is important close all apps before screen off..
    this is my actual configuration..
but is not good.. if i don't use nothing, i have 60% remain at end of day... i would like 75%...

4 test: derp miu + sleepy kernel
    no difference for me

    now im in test 3
    now is 11.30 i have 90%battery
    screen on 1h
    screen off 1h
    deep sleep 50m
    idle active 7,16% hr
idle inactive 2,14% hr (<--- THIS IS ORRIBLE)
