Last beta rom 20.1.21 now beta release stopped because developer changed device
And I noticed it's still a port, not based on official.

I wonder if we can use official vendor + this port ROM simply, to fix some outstanding errors (e.g. microphone not working on headset).

it already uses official vender+firmware+kernel in 20.1.21 but ROM is still Mi8 based so some issues might be there

Oh really? I remember diff'ing /vendor/etc/ for audio related things to try and fix routing for wired headset, and found a lot of differences that I didn't understand (between this port and an official vendor). It did look like the vendor for this port didn't have some entries for the physical 3.5mm connector (which Mi8 lacks). At least, that's what it looked like - I'm not fully experienced on the latest audio stuff.

That was a previous version though, maybe latest is all fixed. I'll try it out - thanks!

Atleast change log says so.
Personally i also faced some weird issues with port so stoped using it long back and now waiting for stable MiRoom release... waiting... waiting.

Well there's a Stable MiRoom MIUI 11/Android 10 release from 5 days ago, anybody tried that?

Backing up and flashing now :D

Direct-link to Mi-Room stable folder (search for Poco): https://sourceforge.net/projects/miroom/files/stable/V11.0/

EDIT: Sound is broken in the 'stable' release. Dirty-flashed to the latest weekly port and sound works, good enough :) will try their next stable.

Really? Strange, guess I will try again. Maybe clean flash official stable first.

Latest weekly has broken notch settings and also TiB crashes on open. But considering I had no sound on stable, I dunno if those are bugs or only a problem I have somehow.

So on the latest stable I have no notification LED, and turning BT back on sometimes requires a reboot.

Also it still seems to be a port, some properties have dipper.

Might try latest stable, or xiaomi.eu rom...
