You had the choice at first install with fingerprint and faceunlock, may there went something wrong.Anyone has noticed issues with face unlock on latest build? Cannot get into settings or rescan and my fingerprintscan is messed up after an app tried to use face unlock. View attachment 5737203
Hi
I have been used this rom with Sleepy September 1 build. Battery was 8-9.5 SOT at 60hz. Idle drain was 0.5% most of the time. But since some days the idle drain have increased to 3-4% at 60hz. I haven't changed any setting or installed any new app, no modding. I installed it again- clean install. But now after 2 days again idle drain is near 3-4% at 60hz only. I changed kernel to kewl(default with this rom) but to no avail.
Charger is "USE PMIC"
Please help if anyone have any idea.
I think it's in case of refresh rates settings crashing.....I wanted to note that this rom supports the build props to improve the refresh rate changing to be more dynamic/adaptive. I've noticed the default behavior tends to stick at peak refresh rate which will probably have an impact on battery.
The build prop details can be found in this thread here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/screen-refresh-rate-twinkering.4366983/
I recommend orange foxIs there a recommended recovery to install this or can I sideload it with PE Recovery, like I did with previous versions?

Yes?
I just installed OFox, 12 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ryption-for-android-12.4471637/#post-87603159)Yes
And try atrached script for better battery consumption of google (script to use at every boot e.g. with 3c tools / unzip before use).
Additional you can try these additional build.prop settings:
logcat.live=disable
#debug.sf.nobootanimation=1
profiler.force_disable_err_rpt=1
profiler.force_disable_ulog=1
wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=360
ro.kernel.checkjni=0
ro.kernel.android.checkjni=0
persist.sys.scrollingcache=3
# end of file
With this config I get:

In recovery you have to format data with yesI just installed OFox, 12 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ryption-for-android-12.4471637/#post-87603159)
it asked for pattern, I entered, it decrypted data (i think)
wiped dalvik/art cache, metadata, data, internal storage, cache
installed LOS 19.1 from the link, device tries to boot (redmi logo) then tries to boot again, then goes into recovery... what to do?
Yes okay, everything is working now! (hopefully) last question, how to install magisk?

With my type of usage I didn't get any better battery consumption with android 12 (tested a lot of ROMs)
That script has dramatically improved SOT from 5 to 9 hours with another rom.
It stops the huge acces to CPU which gave a lot of heat and drain.
The price for this improvement is that the script disables Google sync., so you need on regular base enable this again for some time.
I found here it has to do with the combination Gapps and Pixel spoofing for unlimited Googlephoto's.
Do I understand well that this LOS19 rom don't have these problems and get a reasonable SOT without additions, like gms-doze
Newest version with integrated miui camIs it just me or does the new kernel make the battery life worse? I flashed it but somehow the battery seems to drain faster
I'm still on lineage and it's good, stable smooth with newest sleepy kernel and universal GMS doze
