Yes, clean flash with format data and input yes on twrp 3.6.1 by nebrassy. Updated now to 3.6.2

I was on most actual xiaomi.eu 13.0.12 before. Is flashing of fw necessary then?
I dunno exactly but yes it's better and take better ofox

Hello all! :)
Yesterday decided to test this version of the Lineage OS immediately after I read that for first time it have integrated MIUI Camera, not the ANX one :) :) :)
I was using Lineage OS for many months and after that switched to AOSPExtended and a month later to crDroid - both ROMs have the MIUI Camera integrated BUT there was some little bugs in the MIUI Camera ... but I have to mention that I'm impressed of the crDroid's battery life and customization level, really good job! :)

And NOW I'm with this version of my "old" Lineage OS and YES!
The MIUI Camera implementation here is the best!!!
AND the battery life is also perfect!
:) ;) :)

There are NO any camera bugs (I mean in the cam functions I'm using), the 108MP mode is working as expected and the Pro mode is brilliant.
I'm a camera freak and the MIUI Camera and the battery life are the two main reasons for testing different ROM's ... :) :) :)

Yes, I know that the GCam is a good MIUI Camera alternative, BUT MIUI Camera have the Pro mode and also according to my experience the Macro shots are much better with the MIUI Cam in Pro mode ...
:) ;) :)

P.S. @Laptapper I have found few very GOOD GCam versions and have made good custom configs for them, which I'll share in the GCam thread this days :)
They are available in my signature also.

Thx for your help. Doing the setup right now. will root in a few moments. no crashes so far.
What is the advantage of using magisk canary above normal magisk?

Hi there. So excited to "come back" to lineage.

Currently on ArrowOS 12, would this procedure be correct?
- format data, wipe cache
- flash latest MIUI firmware 13.0.12 from SD card
- install lineage from SD card
- flash sleepy kernel if wanted

Also, I'm on TWRP 3.6.0-11, that is without support of encryption. Do you think it could cause any problem!?

One more questions:
- Lineage os is downloaded as a .jar file. Shall I just rename it in .zip to flash?

Thanks!!

Update twrp to 3.6.2 by nebrassy. It works fine and supports encryption.

Renaming jar into zip wont work.
Download the file from here: https://downloads.royalturd.workers.dev/0:/lineage-19.1-20220814-UNOFFICIAL-sweet.zip

Thanks for your answer.
This is the link I used, and it downloaded as a jar file.

Is updating TWRP via TWRP possible or do I need to go through ADB sideload?
Go to recovery, install and choose install img. Then flash the img file of the new recovery to destination recovery.

You could use the file from 3rd August and update OTA after installation. Just search a few posts back

    No, it is another build (other developer, other date, other size, vanilla??)

    Same here, seems like the link is down
    On which version you are?
    May be there isn't a newer one and a mistake in ota....

    It looks all links of "royalturd.workers.dev" are gone.

    I did search for other download links of it, but found only another build (from developer dani3l0) on androidfilehost
    Nowhere a description of that rom.

    Before I go down this rabbit hole, my experience in the past decade of installing alternative Android installations on branded phones tells me this here is the version to setup for "Sweet."

    However, and this is a big "but", I could use a little bit more info on fast charging because for a device like the Redmi Note Pro 10 (with a huge battery and long battery life), fast charging is indispensable and a good part of the device's value.

    How flaky is it on LOS? Is it disconnecting from fast charging or disconnecting altogether randomly? If so, do you notice right after connecting to a charger or do you find out the next day when you wake up that you're not charged? What's the deal here?

    Greetings!!
    I think the charger disconnection and fast charging issue is related to the type of charger your device has.
    I'm not 100% sure here and someone can correct me on this but there are 3 types of charger identified; in8000 which is the "reported" buggy one due to kernel issue, this one does support fast charging to 33 watts with the right kernel (although being discontinued) but at the expense of the disconnect issue, otherwise, it's capped at 15 watts and is fairly stable?; USE_PMIC which doesn't support 33 watts (I think caps at 15 watts cuz this is my charger type) stable though and doesn't disconnects; and bq2597x which does support 33 watts and considered to be the best type according to people. Use Device Info HW app in playstore with root permission to see yours. The two slow charging types is because Xiaomi hasn't released the sources for these type of charger so devs can't really implement them on custom roms yet.
    I'm fairly ok with the 15 watts I get, I even use 5 watt power brick to slow charge my device most of the time too. Good for my battery health as slow charging generate less heat. Battery is happy xD

    This is expected the last new build with A12.....

    I didn't recognized any big problems.
    Only perhaps scrolling browser pages might be not as good as in other kernels but I try now build.prop additional line
    persist.sys.scrollingcache=3

    Scrollincache works good
    Bb is very good with sleepy
    2
    I've checked original kernel, vantom and latest sleepy kernel with los and the best battery consumption is with sleepy.

    I'm going to test the new update now.....

    --

    Hi guys
    I'm sharing this ROM in case of my own tests.
    All is looking fine (ok, I've not tested hundred of functions, but it's stable and I think almost working good)

    Charging time is acceptable for me. It tooks around 1 hour to charge from 10 to 80%.

    Battery consumption looking fine (although some measures in standard battery view are wrong):
    Screenshot_20220402-082623_Settings.png

    Install first, if you want, normal as every ROM. Clean flash is mandatory!
    But I've flashed DfE and format with yes again, because for me it's not necessary to have encryption and it's easier to test other ROMs....
    Later if all is working fine you can edit build.prop with my additional standard settings:
    logcat.live=disable
    #debug.sf.nobootanimation=1
    profiler.force_disable_err_rpt=1
    profiler.force_disable_ulog=1
    wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=220
    ro.kernel.checkjni=0
    ro.kernel.android.checkjni=0
    persist.sys.scrollingcache=3
    # end of file

    Of course for this you've to be rooted. I can recommend magisk canary 24.3

    Hello guys, I recently came across the xda thread for my LineageOS
    Thanks you very very very much to the OP @Laptapper for maintaining a XDA thread (:)

    I've looked into system crashing when rebooting with auto brightness enabled and I've fixed it internally on rom sources side
    There will be an update available soon fixing above mentioned
    5
    Is it just me or does the new kernel make the battery life worse? I flashed it but somehow the battery seems to drain faster

    I've taken sweet 13.0.8 global for my sweetin (as recommend from pulkit / changed updater script inside fw zip / attached) and until now all is perfect.

    Working anx camera attached (install via magisk module and restart)

    Ahhhhh.... 8 full hours of SOT is the best BB from any ROM for me, that is the standard. but 7 hours is probably good enough (assuming the battery is not absolutely brand new). What is the overnight battery drain percentage? And what is the final combination?? Kernel/Module? Also, do you disable unnecessary apps manually or not? I prefer disabling all the apps (including some system app) from app settings menu to get the best battery backup.
