Try Arrow OS 13. It has vanilla builds.I just unlocked my new phone and wanted to use this LOS as daily driver. I've used a degoogled/microG LineageOS before and wanted to use this rom as replacement.
However, now that I've installed it, I see this is rather a Pixel ROM than a LineageOS rom
It has pre-installed Gapps, Pixel-Launcher, Gboard keyboard, google-Contacts, google-Calendar, google-phone-app and so on, but it does NOT have the LineageOS equivalents of those apps installed.. like LineageOS-Keyboard, LineageOS-calendar, LineageOS-phone-app, LineageOS-Launcher, LineageOS-calculator, and so on...
I actually thought I'd be installing a LineageOS-ROM with only gapps on top of it and that I somehow will be able to just disable this stuff and then use the original LinenageOS apps...
now I'm stuck on a Pixel-ROM it seems.
can someone give me an advice where to go from here?
am I able to degoogle this rom after installing it, and add the lineageos apps?
system is read-only afterwards. can only think of debloating the rom before flashing it, somehow...
It could be so easy if this ROM would be released as vanilla lineageOS ROM. then we could still decide whether to install gapps and pixel launcher stuff - or not.
is anyone aware of a vanilla lineageOS ROM for redmi note 10 >pro< somewhere?
I was actually looking particulary for an original LineageOS ROM and not one of those derivatives, as I've been a LOS enthusiast long before.
in telegram channel dev says will release a new version full vanilla soon ! wait some daysI was actually looking particulary for an original LineageOS ROM and not one of those derivatives, as I've been a LOS enthusiast long before.
It's actually unbelievable that this popular phone doesn't already have one. I've been using a less popular Redmi Note 10 before it broke down and it had superb unofficial vanilla LOS ROMs. I kinda miss them on this phone.
But due to lack of options here, I'm probably going to use one of these other roms for now. I'd build a vanilla LOS myself if I find all the necessary sources for this phone, but time is the limiting factor for me.
it's possible to link that information?in telegram channel dev says will release a new version full vanilla soon ! wait some days![]()
Woohoo, Leica Cam is great. Save to SD card, full slow motion and time lapse support.
I recieve fc of Pixel Launcher. Anyone else too?
Seems that recent apps menu not working.
Cleaning Cache and data didnt help
Leica is included in the ROM
No, its the first fully working 'close to miui' cam on aosp. Features like time lapse, slo mo, 108 MP and f.e. saving to external SD are working perfect. Is that just the 'Stock garbage' Camera App with overtuned Colors, or what is the hype about the Leica Cam?
Btw does this ROM Support Fast Charge, Dolby Atmos, and OTA Updates?

Hi mate!Hi @Pulkit Agarwal
thanks for your kind response!
Looking back I can confirm that passing safetynet with official LineageOS I have tested on several devices was never a problem.
Well, sure, it might not come out of the box.
But from security perspective I do not trust any unofficial ROM's.
You are certainly a trustworthy person but I do not know you and so I can't confirm.
From security perspective nobody should be keen on sharing his personal data on an unofficial ROM.
Never.
Looking on the work you are providing to the community I see that you are an outstanding developer.
If I were you I would make it official as this would contribute significantly to your reputation being a developer and would increase the trust of users for your precious work.
Believe me when I tell you that the version of LineageOS I offer is just as good as the official version, if not better (with additional improvements added on top).Hi @thxjxs
Thanks for your answer!
Having LineageOS as an official ROM would lead to higher quality and trust as it is monitored by the LineageOS community.
Using an unofficial LineageOS is risky, as you do not know what the developer included in it.
I have been using official LineageOS on several devices and I can confirm that it is easily possible to flash Google Apps on it and also MIUI camera (via Magisk module).
Furthermore having LineageOS official would enable having LineageOS with MicroG.

MicroG is an alternative to Google Apps and completely open source.
I am favoring LineageOS with MicroG since many years over the proprietary spyware called "Google Apps".
To get a trustworthy and complete open source LineageOS ROM I would highly appreciate if @Pulkit Agarwal would make it official as he already did with Pixel Experience.
Keeping it "unofficial" is somehow suspicious.

The official version doesn't even pass the safetynet, which mine does.
Additionally, my version has over-the-air updates, just like the official version.
my version is also signed with private keys just like the official version.
It's based on the same source code.
the main reason for pulkit not having applied for the official rom maintenance of los sweet is because he prefers to include gapps along with it. Los is usually a vanilla build, completely de-googled, and this would hinder the inclusion of gapps and other subtle features like the included Leica cam which would never make it onto an official Los build (he mentioned it a few times in a telegram channel i believe).Hi @Laptapper
first of all thanks for sharing the fantastic work from @Pulkit Agarwal !
Do you know the reason why this ROM does not get shared by @Pulkit Agarwal as a development project at XDA-devs?
I am also curious about if LineageOS will ever become official?
The reason why I am asking is because many people would feel more comfortable having an official version as this indicates reliability and security.
