thanks for the update. are you still on the latest update of the rom? were there any other bugs you faced, i saw a few mentioned on the telegram channel (like a buggy face unlock animation, some launcher bugs, etc). there was a case where native screen recording failed and crashed... do you face a similar problem on the latest release?i have next release (from telegram) and i dont like... dev removed check for separate volume from notifications an incoming call... pay attention when will release if update or not...
i hear the dev for the sleepy kernel is back with its development for our device. however in the meantime, ive thought to test out the modified version... how was the battery backup? are there any jitters which you experienced in daily use particularly in any of the UI components like the qs drop down?Sorry I've mixed up the threads in my brain....here it is
Post in thread '[SHARED] [OSS] [MIUI] [KERNEL] newest sweet/in quantum, vantom, sleepy, yuki, delta, doraemon, kewl and aghisna kernel' https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...kewl-and-aghisna-kernel.4398423/post-88268153
Did you've tried newest kewl?Latest update seems to not work properly with Aghisna, 90hz option doesn't show up but it worked fine in previous LOS build.
This vanilla LOS or Pulkit Gapps LOS?I'm running los20 with kewl kernel for fast charging ln8000 since some days and I can recommend it, it's very stable with smooth and fast responding. Battery consumption may better than in los19
Copy paste in recents for now only with pixelify 2.1 magisk module.
Pulkit gappsThis vanilla LOS or Pulkit Gapps LOS?
Just got the ln8000 device and am not sure what to do with it.
Thanks.
hey lubo777, thanks for the update, just a couple of quick questions...Today I upgraded to the latest available update of the Lineage OS 20 from 23 March and everything seems to be perfect!
I'm using the Magisk module of the Leica Camera for the best JPG quality results: LeicaCameraMod-4.7.230121.1-GLSPALR.zip
What kernel are you using for better battery life?
Going to experiment in a few days with the latest Sleepy kernel, but first I want to see the default kernel.
In general I'm happy the battery life of the default kernel from the Lineage OS version from February, but strangely despite the good battery I can't see long time in the DEEP SLEEP zone ...
bq
ln8000
hey lubo777, thanks for the update, just a couple of quick questions...
1. doesn't pulkit's version of lineage OS already include a Leica cam? or were you using the vanilla build (there was also an untested vanilla build in the telegram group but as far as i can remember right now, Leica cam was present in that too which kinda makes the second qn moot ig)
2. dyu have theorCode:bq
charging driver?Code:ln8000
3. when you mean the latest sleepy, do you mean the last update by StOrmCatz (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...wl-and-aghisna-kernel.4398423/post-88268153)?
I had flashed the latest update to LineageOS two days back and although i usually immediately shift to the ln8000 version of the Kewl kernel, i thought i'd give the default kernel a chance to prove itself. the initial impressions were good, it was at 0.2%/hr idle drain and all was good but as the battery percentage dropped, the idle drain increased (i don't understand how that works) and at the end of the day, i was at 1% with 4.5 hrs of SOT, and the idle drain at 4.1%/hr (there was no power hungry background processes running)
fastforward to yesterday, i flashed the unofficial sleepy linked above which was recommended by Laptapper and im glad i did
started the day off with a full battery and had a very light day with barely 3 hrs of screen use, but with cellular data switched on most of the time, and the battery is down only by 31% (the battery percentage was pure coincidence) and with a really managable idle drain of 0.4%. although im not sure if, like the rom's default kernel, the idle drain will increase as the battery percentage drops, will update soon at the end of the battery cycle, so far so good
im not sure how my battery stats compare to others, but for me, if this rom+kernel combination continues to push this same level of battery consumption, im a peaceful man
Edit: deep sleep is at 89% of screen time at the moment
perfect no for all... the sliders for volume and notifications united in only one is terrible.. and your module for leica not open video from icon previewToday I upgraded to the latest available update of the Lineage OS 20 from 23 March and everything seems to be perfect!

Actually I'm more focused on getting really good quality pictures from my camera, than how a secondary shortcut is working ...perfect no for all... the sliders for volume and notifications united in only one is terrible.. and your module for leica not open video from icon preview![]()
if you want, yesterday night was released (on channel telegram) LOS but with MICROG too and more users say has incredible battery life, better vanilla too ( some screen report 5%h SOT, 0,3%h dp) !Two days ago I flashed again the latest version of the Sleepy Kernel
With it definitely I have much better Battery life than with the default kernel!
With the default kernel I have got battery discharge more than 1-1.5% at night, but with SLEEPY_KERNEL-OSS-XXX-SWEET v.4.14.305 I have 80% in Deep sleep when screen is off .....
this means around 3% for 8 hours at night
P.S. I have downloaded the latest Vanilla version of the Lineage OS today and I'll give it a try this days especially this test if it's possible to use the LeicaCameraMod-4.7.230121.1-GLSPALR.zip
with it.
Yesterday I have checked the default Leica camera coming by default with Lineage and definitely LeicaCameraMod-4.7.230121.1-GLSPALR.zip
has much better control of the Sharpness and because of that the JPG files coming from the Photo or Pro mode are with much better detail and overall quality.
P.S.2 For best camera results I strongly recommend to shoot in RAW and export the JPG images using Lightroom Android app ...![]()

Just installed a new update OTA 20230503. Does anyone know if there is a changelog?
Hi mate!Hi @Pulkit Agarwal
thanks for your kind response!
Looking back I can confirm that passing safetynet with official LineageOS I have tested on several devices was never a problem.
Well, sure, it might not come out of the box.
But from security perspective I do not trust any unofficial ROM's.
You are certainly a trustworthy person but I do not know you and so I can't confirm.
From security perspective nobody should be keen on sharing his personal data on an unofficial ROM.
Never.
Looking on the work you are providing to the community I see that you are an outstanding developer.
If I were you I would make it official as this would contribute significantly to your reputation being a developer and would increase the trust of users for your precious work.
Believe me when I tell you that the version of LineageOS I offer is just as good as the official version, if not better (with additional improvements added on top).Hi @thxjxs
Thanks for your answer!
Having LineageOS as an official ROM would lead to higher quality and trust as it is monitored by the LineageOS community.
Using an unofficial LineageOS is risky, as you do not know what the developer included in it.
I have been using official LineageOS on several devices and I can confirm that it is easily possible to flash Google Apps on it and also MIUI camera (via Magisk module).
Furthermore having LineageOS official would enable having LineageOS with MicroG.
LineageOS for microG
lineage.microg.org
MicroG is an alternative to Google Apps and completely open source.
I am favoring LineageOS with MicroG since many years over the proprietary spyware called "Google Apps".
To get a trustworthy and complete open source LineageOS ROM I would highly appreciate if @Pulkit Agarwal would make it official as he already did with Pixel Experience.
Keeping it "unofficial" is somehow suspicious.
