Shield portable touchscreen not working, Help?

I replaced the batteries in my portable- was very careful not to mess with touchscreen ribbon cable. Got everything back together and touchscreen does not work. In hope that it was software glitch I flashed system image up to 110 and then back to 103. I’m just surprised that the cable or digitizer was damaged as I was so careful (and it looks fine.) posting here and just hoping one you wise experts might have a way to troubleshoot it in case it’s a software glitch.
