I am thinking about getting the tf701 but iI have a question.

My expierience with battery life (on android) wasnt so good so far.

I do own the LG G Pad an i can get like 2-3 hours of gaming (wifi on brightnes on 75%)

So how long do you think will the Tf701 last? (with and without the Dock)

How is emulator performance? The snapdragon series has some problems with some emulators. How does the Tegra 4 hold up?

its decent, about 6-7 hours a day if i use it extensively. your mileage may vary

2D and 3D performance is not amazing when running at stock resolution. 1200P is the most ideal for this tablet

I used to have tf701 but now I have the Xperia z2 tablet. I like the z2 much more than the tf701 I had.

But if you get the z2, max resolution is only 1920 x 1200, while the high-end Asus and Samsung tablets have 2560 x 1600, which gives a higher dots per inch than Apple's Ipad...

That may not be important if you want a tab mainly for gaming or video, but for me reading was paramount, and for that high dpi helps.

I hate the massive amount of bloatware that Samsung puts on its phones and tablets, while Asus has close to stock Android, and the keyboard sealed the deal for me. I had briefly considered a Note 10.1 with a bluetooth keyboard, but that would have been more expensive, and have neither the convenience nor the battery life of Asus' tablet+keyboard combo.

Just got one and I am pretty happy with it. In Canada, it does not comes with the dock and seeing all these threads / issues when using it, I won't be getting one ;)

This is my first 10 inches tablet and damn, I am very surprised with the quality of the screen / resolution. I am using it mostly for media consumption / streaming, not for 3D games even if it can run them without problems. So far, pretty happy with it. Hopefully, we will get kitkat and I'll be more than pleased!

I got my dock from Canada Computers and I have no issues with it. I love the dock, extra battery, mouse and USB make this tablet so much better. It makes the tablet feel like a nice compact laptop and editing office documents is actually do able.

I am thinking get one, because only this one has 64g rom. But still worry about cpu vs resolution problem. Any user can tell whether the cpu powerful enough to run the resolution ? Thanks

I've only ever seen 32GB so you have done very well if you have found a 64GB model - although 64GB cards work fine.

The resolution works fine and runs everything I use it for including some games. You can always unlock, root or flash a rom which allows you to drop the resolution on the fly anyway if you need to. I find 1920x1200 works perfectly fine but I like the clarity of 2560x1600 ;)
