Guys I've had the pixel 2xl for over a year now and i last did a clean install 5-6 months ago. I don't really have a problem with the phone with occasional drops in frame rate in some applications. I was just curious to know your views incl. pros and cons of resetting my phone and would you advice me to do it?

Thanks in advance.

I think it's a good idea to go just that every 6 months or so. But that's just me :good:

When was the last time you did it? And what changed in your experience? Interms of fluidity, battery life, previous data?

Also one more thing if i a clean install how can i get my photos back? They are already uploaded in my Google photos but i still like them to be on my phone and i had issues with it can't download every pic one by one.

I do a adb and googl backup before I do a reset. I don't really notice any battery changes, but does seem to run better. I also backup all my photos to my pc, as well as my TiBu folder for user app restoration :good:

Thanks but that will show same photos twice one in my phone and one of the Google cloud. Is there no way i can restore them in one tap from Google photos.

Don't really know, I've never done that before. I find it easier to just back up my photo folders to my pc, which are also synced to my google photos folders. So after a reset, I just drag & drop my photo folders from pc to phone, and google photos already recognizes them :good:

I'll have to try! Let me see if i can experiment this before hard resetting my phone.
You can also create a folders on your internal storage with a root type, or standard file manager with names like..Family, dogs, or whatever. Then drop your photos in those folders. Your gallery app, like QuickPic will pick them up, which you can then sync those folders with google photos :good:
