Think it was the AT&T one that did.

Not a bad deal, especially if you have a number of phones and a weak signal.

not sure that is what he was looking for though.

Think he was really asking about something you can attach to the phone itself.

Either attach or stationary. I get horrible signal at work and just need something to setup on my desk for better signal.

I have Verizon signal booster. It just broke so I need to send it in. It works great in my house within 20'. Farther than that its no better than a regular signal. The thing I hate about it is, if your talking on the phone and walk out of range it will drop your call. I do it walking out in my back yard by the pool and if I get into my truck and drive out of my driveway it drops the call. I have a home office and it does help while in it but no where else. I have very mixed feeling about it...

I work for a large corporation who has a closed network and religiously watches bandwidth usage. Can't use the wifi. Sadly a booster is my only option. I may just make one this weekend.

If you're only getting 20' range on your booster, then it had a problem long before it 'broke'. I have mine set up in my basement, and I get 5 bars anywhere in my house (and that's well over 20'. It's set up in a location that also lets it cover my front yard, and well into my neighbor across the street's front yard as well (I REALLY need to get it set up in private mode). The signal drops in my back yard to about half, but I live on a hill, so some of the signal is being blocked by the ground between the phone and extender. Between that and my Wifi at home, I'm more than pleased with my box.

I will agree with the dropping of calls when you go out of range though, but that's the nature of the beast and can't be helped. You can't switch from a Voip-based call over to a cell tower, at least not with current tech...

I am going to try another one (sending this one back) and hopefully it works better. My WiFi n router also suffers from significant signal loss too. I always kid that our house is built on an old Indian burial ground. I do live in Arizona... Hummmm

I'm in Arizona.... The spirits around here lift my signals higher... you must have bad mojo... :)

The Verizon booster looks pretty cool, but I don't need one, signals here are great even at work though we don't have WiFi at work due to PCI compliance issues.

Just a personal opinion possibly turned RANT!

Please people... just say NO to femtocell signal boosters... they are the most insulting rip off ever offered.

Call Verizon and complain about your signal where you live... do it every few months until they do something and guess what... they usually will.

Why pay them (a lot) your greenbacks for a piece of hardware to make up for their poor coverage in your area?

Why pay them (a lot) so they can use YOUR already expensive broadband on the expensive hardware to make up for their poor coverage?

Why pay them (a lot) so they can STILL CHARGE YOU MINUTES when you use the expensive hardware that works on the broadband you are paying for???

I know that some people feel they must have it... but seriously, this is a principle worth standing up for... this is like letting our government give us higher taxes... the government and Big Red (a company I like BTW) has got enough of our money... make them get the job done with what they have!

Thanks for listening so respectfully... I'm all done here :)

The ONLY way they can fix the signal where I live, would be to put a cell tower in my front yard. I currently don't WANT a cell tower in my front yard, so the femtocell will do nicely.

Also, my work paid for it, so it's no cash out of my pocket, they pay for my cell, so again, no cash out of MY pocket. 99% of the time, my outbound internet bandwidth sits unused, so it's no big deal there either.

Also, with the current sale, it's only 99.99 after the rebate, so it's not THAT expensive...

Wilson Electronics and a few others make a device, actually made for mobile use but works great if altered for home. It comes with a mag mount antenna for the top of the car and a dome type for inside the vehicle. I have a 12db gain wilson antenna on a pole up high and a mag mount inside the house, and a 12 volt power supply. Works great for everyone near me and even repeats EVDO ;-)

can you explain a little more detail about how you did that? I went to the site and the mobile attenna had to be connected with the amplifer and then the amplifer had to be connected to the phone. I got lost real quick. But i got some ****ty service and would like to do something like that.
