Sim card no detect on sprint LG G4

Hello everybody,

Lastly I bought a LG G4 smartphone in Cameroon where I live with the T-mobile rom (version H11110n) installed on it. The phone detected my SIM card but I could not connect to the internet through the 4G network. So I decided to flash the device with an unmodified T-mobile rom stock. To my surprise the smartphone has hard bricked. After several attempts to recover with the QFIL application, the phone came back to life but with a looping start on the fastboot mode. So I used the command "fastboot getvar all" which allowed me to notice that it was not a phone from T-mobile but from Sprint (LS911). So I decide to download the file LS911_12_ARB02.tot with which I flash the phone. Everything seems to work well except the SIM card is no longer detected. I also note that when I try to change the network mode, it is still frozen in the global mode. I try to flash the phone with the international rom. Sim card is detected ( But without any network bar that appears) with message "service disabled" and my phone don't connect to the network.
How can I solve this problem?

Congrats you have converted your device to ls991. Using qfil is incredible dangerous and converting is one reason for that
Your device can not load the modem firmware that's why you can't get cell service.

You MAY can revert that conversion by flashing a h811 rom with ARB 2 (NOT lower) but the changes of a hard brick are VERY high.

Read more about ARB and qfil here : https://bit.do/antirollg4

As long as your device is in 9008 mode you can try the sdcard unbrick linked in my sig

Thank you for your answer,

I tried to reinstall the firmware from T-mobile but I find myself with a very unstable system that freezes at any time. Neither the network nor the camera works. At startup I have an error message like this:

************Secure booting Error!
************Error Code: 1006
************OFFICIAL !!
Curiously when I install the firmware from Sprint the error message disappears and I get a stable system except the network that does not work. I also found that by hold the volume down and plugging the USB cable, the phone starts in fastboot mode. By typing the "fasboot getvar all" command in the terminal, I get the following report:

Please see the sbl1.mbn file in attachment
You (over) UsU'd your device by accident.
The difference: the regular UsU process ensures that your device get NOT converted. But you decided to use QFIL (a f*** bad idea, really) and that converted your device.

That means:
you have now a device (h811) which runs the LS911 firmware on it. The problem is that the modem firmware of the LS991 isnt able to bring up your modem.

you have 3 ways to go now:

  • 1) you have now a partly unlocked device - so you can flash TWRP and access fastboot to flash stuff (read the above UsU link - "Changes in behavior" topic as that also covers you now)
flash just the modem partition of the H811 but ensure its from a LP firmware!
  • 2) replace your mainboard as the physical fuses you have blown by using QFIL (a f*** bad idea, really) cant be reverted
  • 3) erasing a special partition and so enforcing the sdcard boot to test if you could still boot a h811 bootloader stack (requires to come into IRC)

thank you for your explanations,
I will try with the first method. But before any manipulation, I would like to have some confirmations:
- I keep the LS991ZV6 firmware on my phone.
- I use the UsU method to access fasboot mode.
- So I use fastboot mode to flash the modem.img file from T-mobile firmware.

That's right?

all ur assumptions are correct.
and just to mention again: modem of the LP version of a h811 . MM modem will not work or even bootloop

Another question :

Please, can you have a pure LS911ZV6 Stock rom (which has not been modified) and that I could install on my device before beginning any manipulations? All those I found on the forum seem to have undergone some changes.

Hello,
I started unlocked process but SALT tells me that GPT compatibility is unknown. SALT debug log is provide with this link : https://bpaste.net/show/daa8ee7fdcfb
Thank
Oh one sec. You should get a popup when you start SALT that a new update is available. Pls do the upgrade! You're using an outdated version...

If the problem persists share the link to the debug log of the current version.

I notice that you have change requirements 3)
In this case I guess I have to flash modem of the MM version of a h811 rather than LP version?
