Sim unlocking

I am currently running the latest Resurection rom and wondering is using this method : http://www.rimweb.in/forums/topic/36748-how-to-change-mode-from-nv-to-ruim-in-any-cdma-phone-using-dfs-free-version/ i would be able to throw my verizon sim and have working cdma network? theres a few posts about some people being able to cdma unlock their phone but not much detail and not really sure. thanks.
