Hi,

I have a 3GB/32GB MTK Note 3 here. I'm on the latest China Dev Rom 6.12.29, Baseband MOLY.LR9W1423.MD.LWTG.MP.V24.P55
When I put in my SIM card the phone recognizes it and I can unlock it, but I can't log onto my network. I tried two different SIMS, in both slots, 1 and 2. From two different providers. All I get is a "emergency calls only".
Searching manually I can find the right network but after some time of trying to register I get "Can't connect to this network right now. Try again later."
Both SIM cards work fine in other phones.
I bought the phone used over ebay and the seller of course claims it was fine when he sent it.

I tried a couple of different ROMs as well, but the issue remains. The bootloader is locked so I'm limited to SP flash tool / fastboot ROMs.

Anyone have an idea?

Yo, guys, the same here. "Try again later".
Anybody can explain why this happened?
I assume that phone can see providers, so Rx is fine. May be it is Tx problem? Just how to check it :-/

Did u tried china 9.6 rom for mtk ?

So, just roll out miui_HMNote3_V9.6.1.0.LHNCNFD_c1e5a895a8_5.0.zip
the same here.
I'm thinking to try to use cable and bottom board from my second redmi note 3 pro (SD)
Looks like they are the same. Will try.

Want to add that i've replaced coaxial cable and bottom antenna/cover from my working SD phone and problem still there.
SD works fine with MKT's cable and cover :(

So, may be it is a chip problem? Like iphones has "wifi grayed out" problem also =)

Looks like it is board problem.
I used heat gun for about 450 degrees and boiled these 3 chips a bit :)

Network is working now! Will see for how long ;)

Be careful with this plastic i've melted. It is too hot for it =))

ps: and 2 teardown photos from http://www.myfixguide.com/manual/xiaomi-redmi-note-3-teardown/
