When I try to run it, it now says "cannot find iContact or one of it's components". How do I fix this? What is icontact dependant on?
BTW, I'm under WM03SE

i love the program...im having one problem tho

when minimizing the program, and reopening it, the program eats up memory....so much so that if i continuously open and minimize the program, my memory will eventually drop down to 8mb where the program stops working....

if i end task, then i get all my memory back, and the program runs fine again

Same here.......:(
TyTNII, unbranded standard German ROM....

Larna:

I know that your program is meant for touchscreen users, but I did want to try it on my BlackJack II (Landscape QVGA, WM6 Standard) as I'd like to replace WM6's default contact manager. Much to my surprise it ran and navigation with my scroll wheel and 5 way navigation was very slick. However, the program didn't run fullscreen, I only got the top half of the program shown it seems. Any ideas? I'll post a screenshot when I get home.

But at first glance it looks usable even for WM6 standard users if it displayed correctly. Nice work!

0.6 release bug

I had the previous release and the dpad up and down worked but with the 0.6 it no longer works.

I'm running WM6.1

I love the applications.
There only a few problems I've encountered:
1 In HTC home the sms-inbox button doesn't start up pocketCM but the default sms screen
2 When you type a sms it doesn't automaticly use capitals when needed.
3 When I get a pop-up for a new sms and press 'answer' it launches the default sms reply screen as well.
4 And the hard call button does not work

Hopefully someone knows a solution

Sorry for my bad english anyway.

i used soft VITO Fun Contact, but it rather heavy and slow. Now, I will use this soft instead.

Start iContact and display a specific Contact

Hi, first off all: this is a nice application and i connected it to a soft-key to browse my contacts.

Now my question: is it possibe to call iContact with a param so that it displays the details off a contact e.g. icontact.exe -c "Broos, Mario"

Look at the later (iContact 0.6) thread. People have managed to add lines to the ini file that allow day and night themes (black/white) to be selected.

Dude, this thread is quite stale. Your the first post in over 6 months - I suggest you refer to supbro's continuation of this project. check out his page here or just snag the cab here

    Hello,
I wrote a simple contacts list app for WM5 but i've tested it on HTC Wizard only. If anyone is willing to test the app on their device I'd be very thankfull.

The app is very basic, it only lists contacts in scrollable list. I use it for accessing my contacts by scrolling the list with fingers, similar to *Phone. Just tap, drag and release. To select a contact, just tap and release, and standard contact details dialog should appear.

Exe is in the attached zip file.

    UPDATE v0.5, 02.03.2008.

    Changes:
    - iContact should now be visible in task managers
    - added application icon
    - alphabet grid can be shown by clicking on ABC button. It stays shown until letter is selected, or you tap on an empty space
    - little bit more usefull "Details" screen.

    UPDATE v0.4, 09.11.2007.
This version should fix a bug or two, but may introduce some as well. It should fix the most obvious bug with contact name length.
It also introduces a way to look into contact details. But is merely a test and isn't very usable at the moment. Tapping on the contact name will open standard pocket outlook contact details.

    Have fun.

    UPDATE v0.3, 08.09.2007.
Sorry to say that iContact didn't go very far, but still, i wanted to give you guys an up-to-date version (if anyone is still interested ;))

There are few changes and they're all very obvious, so, have fun.

    UPDATE

    - 05.05.2007.

    v0.2
App is now known as"iContact".Main changes would be landscape fix and (Oh, My, Oooh) WM2003 support.
As i don't have wm2003 device there are probably still some bugs, but at least it should start, show contacts and scroooooolllll...

The little indicator on the right side has some bugs, i know. But, as it doesn't affects the other app functionality I let it live.

Post your opinions. New features will be discussed when main part of the app works (almost) bug free.

Thx for all your comments. That motivates me the most.

I've already did it, but qvga screen are really small and letters can be touched only with stylo... it's not very usefull :)
