I used to do the news and android-dev university tutorials.
I would like to share my current work with all of you here at XDA.

I take NO CREDIT for any of the files uploaded but put them all together in one for you here at XDA-Developers.
None of that " well visit my webpage here and here and go here and there and click there and queer!"

Being my first one to share.

Easily boot into custom recovery on nook tablet

Easiest way I found was to use a bootable SD card image.
This image will allow you to boot into CWM to either simply root your Nook Tablet or go ahead and install a custom rom.

1. First off you are going to need Win32DiskImager I have uploaded v0.8 see below or http://d-h.st/vnO
2. Then you are going to need the image file to burn onto your SD card http://d-h.st/yPb
3. You need to open as admin the Win32DiskImager
4. Then select the image file and then the drive letter for your SD card and click write.
5. When done make sure the Nook Tablet is off by powering off or holding the power button for 20 seconds.
6. Insert the newly written SD card into your Nook Tablet.
7. Plug in a powered micro-usb cord(either from wall outlet or from PC/laptop)

It will show the nook boot, then a box, then into CWM you GO!

From here, the sd card has a root method included to keep the stock nook with Google Play Store.
You can do this by install from sd card
Choose the root zip file and flash away.

OR

You can load up another sd card with your ROM of choice.
I found LiquidSmooth to be the best of 3 I tried and the most stable for use with video apps and microphone.
You can follow demetris post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2274244
Download the ROM, Gapps and SU-binary flashes.

Enjoy!
