Is it me or is the stock SIP setting in the dialer not available ?

Anyway i have tried now about 10 different SIP clients and it seems that they do not stay active in the background.
Does anyone have better experiences and would like to share ?

Yes and no. I want to add a different provider, not wifi calling from my default provider.

Verstuurd vanaf mijn VOG-L29 met Tapatalk
I'm afraid it wont work as it may need carrier support. That's why it doesn't stay running in the background. It's like the spam call filter on my s10 plus. I can turn it on but after awhile or a reboot it reverts back to its default which is disabled. Just my 2 cents.

The option is available on my OP6T, it is just not available on the P30 Pro. (see link in third post)
And when enabled it worked fine, so it is not blocked by my provider, but it is not working in EMUI 9.1

This just enables calling via VOIP over 3g/4g of Wifi.
Other softphone clients that i tried are 98% of the time unreachable.
Only when i open the softphone then it worked.
So background operation is very limited on EMUI i guess

Haven´t tried it myself on the p30, but if you are using a app for that i bet you have to set the battery optimizations of the app to off, Huawei is quite aggressive with background apps (had a lot problems with garmin connect for example).

You have to do that in 2 points:
settings, apps, apps, *the app you use*, details for battery consumption, app start => set everything to manual and allow it

settings, apps, apps, the three dots on the top right, special rights, battery optimization, *the app you use*, disable/don´t allow

The app should now run fine, garmin connect had the exact same problem, i constantly lost connection with my watch/tracker before
