I saved the conclusion for later (called Final words), where they regularly discuss potential competiting devices in a unique manner - now I checked it, I've never seen such a politely handled struggle :D

Thanks for the heads up.

Very thorough review indeed... and I'm even more tempted now.

Ok, so I'm happy with my LG P500 Optimus One, but a hardware keyboard AND ARMv7 processor in an even smaller form factor would be very very sweet indeed :) and it looks like it will be really affordable to boot.

Done reading. Just like I predicted, no worthy competition as of now. And very much suited to my requirement. Really awesome product, the competitors presented were Sony Ericsson as well, except for that HTC Chacha which has lower specs.

Of course, no phone is perfect I have 2 complaints:
1. Battery life short. But what to expect on this form factor?
2. The HOME button kinda hard to press. But perhaps this will loosen in time?

Still, I did not regret the purchase, was worth every cent.

There's a thread about battery life

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1229463

for my feel : it seems after some days of getting the hang of the phone battery life, it looks like if doing nothing with the phone at all sit it standby, it easily reaches 2 days of life and can even go for a few hours more but i doubt it will reach 3 days. however, once normally using the phone like browsing wifi, tinkering, etc. it definitely can only max out in less than 2 days. if doing more browsing and use calls, 3G, in one day or less it likely will finish the charge. if straight wifi internet browsing, i doubt this will reach 7 hours max. perhaps need more cycle charging as phone barely a week old.

Thanks

Thanks sxxorp for the heads up. Was waiting for GSM Arena's review on the Mini Pro. Got tired of waiting for the review so I went ahead and purchased a Mini Pro. I love my new phone and worth every penny.

GSM Arena's review made me more convinced that I made the right decision. But I will now turn off XLoud in my Mini Pro as the reviewer suggested. We'll see if it helps. :)

Never forget, that maybe they had a little bit faulty device in this area, we don't know their version, in addition this can be improved through software upgrade.
So try, test, verify :)

I know I'm off-topic, just... When will the Xperia Ray thread open?
The Xperia mini pro looks great (I've got an x10 mini pro), but the Ray.... mmmh, I'm not sure what to buy ^^
