yh i kinda gave up on protection now that i have insurance and the desire HD is a hard thing i've dropped it a few times, nothing has happened.

besides this was just to show accessories instead of the usual cases

well the desire HD is no more.....broken (gone for 'replacement' from insurance) and hopefully i can trade the new one in for a droid razr, but i'll definitely be rocking another skin on that too

I have a Cellular-Line Invisible case for my Desire HD, it's just a hard piece of see-through plastic, it's thin enough not to make my phone bulky but nice enough to protect it.

no, sticks on like a vinyl and when i took it off, left no residue behind. What kind of damage do you have in mind?
