Hi everyone. Inspired by someone from bigest polish forum about android to make Gingerbread skin for SWYPE i get to the work. I spend on it some time.

I collect money for domain So thanks for any donate.

How to get orange marker(3rd screen)

First you need download apk-manager and hex editor(eg. HxD). Open apk-manager, put swype apk to place-apk-here-for-modding, run script.bat, type 19, then 0, next 22, choose your apk, now 9 to decompile your swype apk, then go to folder projects> swype_apk_name > lib > armeabi - here you find file libSwypeCore.so wich you must open in HxD. Now CTRL+F, change to searching hex - anywhere, to textbox write DD A2 5B. Now open eg. Photoshop, double click on color picker, choose color you want. Go to http://home2.paulschou.net/tools/xlate/ and in dec/char write numbers from picker in that order:
BLUE GREEN RED, so if you have color(hex: f0ad1e) you should write: 30 173 240, press decode and copy HEX address. Now back to HxD and just press CTRL+V, but but the previous address must be selected(if not search it again). After that CTRL+S or in menu choose save it. Now in folder you get new file with .bak extension - delete it. Back to console and type 11 > y > n, next 12, new apk is in place-apk-here-for-modding.

IMPORTANT

If yours version SWYPE have blue skin of chosing word you shouldn't replace it with this black inside package.

Pull the swype apk from your phone and just replace the original files with the gingerbread ones.

ok i pulled the swype apk, replaced files, signed it and installed... but swype force closes on launch

is yours installed to system/app? if it is you shouldn't sign it, otherwise, it should work, cause ive modded it before and signed it and it worked.


Oh, did you uninstall the original swype first?

In package 2.15 you have skin with microphone for QVGA/HVGA/WVGA, in 2.6 is without microphone.

Yes it works with Spica and other phones with 320x240, 480x320 and 800x480 resolution.
