If you backup your original file, nothing bad can happen to your phone.
Worst case scenerio you end up with a bootloop, then you'll just run ClockworkMod recovery and push the original file back...
I recommend to backup by nandroid anyway ;) you never know ;)

"1. Backup your com.htc.resources.apk to your PC or SDCard."
I am sorry, could you tell me more details? I must install it first, then use Root Explorer to get the file named com.htc.resources.apk in data/app folder?
You can use any explorer that can access system (I use ES file explorer). Just copy your original SYSTEM:framework/com.htc.resources.apk to your SD card (before you install this) and if you don't like what is in the new one or you end up with phone that doesn't work, you can just push the backed-up file back to system while in recovery...;)

There is com.htc.resources.apk in the zip file...So backup your apk and then flash/push the new one...

Sent from my HTC Legend using XDA App
ok thanks, but is it possible to remove the apk file from the phone without S-OFF? Like deleting it with ASTRO file manager etc.

Indeed it does, you can tell if ti has sense by sense UI, apps, navbar and lockscreen... If it has the HTC digital clock, stocks, friendstream etc, then it has sense ;)

Oh dear. I have formatted my SD card, losing the backed up com.htc.resources.apk - is there any way to get this back? Other than reinstalling the ROM of course.

EDIT: I opened the ROM using winzip on the PC, and extracted the com.htc.resources.apk.
