there is a cab for the clock in the package and then when you apply the theme, the clock will be skinned also

PROBEX is really taking this personally.

90% of themes here have been based off other themes, and no one has complained.

Some themes are based off the iPhone, no credit is given to Apple.

Sorry Probex but i disagree with you, yes he should of mentioned you but your taking it too far.

Dont turn this place into a business with people holding onto the copyrights and patents of this and that, we are a community.

He used your theme as a base, he did NOT flat out steal it. He did not simply slap his name on your theme, and he is not SELLING it, so i see very little harm done.

SMS reading freezes the PPC.

I read your sms issue about freezing, and have tested the skin (also my favorite too) and have no freezing.Basically its first rate and works perfectly.I did however have to place ALL the skin files into windows directory using "good-old" Resco Explorer (trial) twice, then did a soft reset. And its fine. Hope you get you sms issue sorted.

I have had no say in this matter also i can see that i am newer here so take Probex word over mine like i said in my other post i have all the PSD files for my work and my personal opinion is that this theme is much better than his and the menu icons are superior to his then we go into the colour Green well can't i make a f******* green theme i will retract all my work from this site ok every little counts

I am a big fan of this thread but as many other people have said it has fallen apart. No longer are people posting skins because attention has been drawn away from what the topic of the thread is...."Manilla 2D - Skins, clocks and wallpapers (new text color and softkeys!)". This is because of the arguments and comments about people stealing each others skins. I am not supporting either side and people copying other peoples skins IS a very important matter but can someone please create a topic in another section regarding this matter and continue the conversation/argument there. At least the whole of XDA can have their opinion, even the people who don't check the M2D skin thread.

I second that. Some people taking this matter too much, and they should work at copyright office.

SEVERAL members have said that they are not identical, yet a mod took one side over the other, sad to see this....

Then we have certain members who jumped on Wapvirus who were not involved , wrong thing to do in this case, they could have waited for him to defend himself before condemning him, he has offered to show proof that his work was not pirated...yet a mod condemned him......this needs to be made right, a mod needs to be unbiased in the issues and allow both sides to to state their cases in private.....

Really disappointed in the course of actions that have taken place so far

I saw this alien planet and had the same thoughts about it ,this person ripped every thing and maby ,just maby the only thing thats different is the icons.that can not be allowed,i`m also thinking not to post skins anymore on this thread

PLEASE GIVE CREDITS WHERE DUE ,AND ASK PERMISSION TO MODIFY SKINS.

Jckotze , while I respect a lot of the work you have done, I want you to google Intel theme and Intel theme ppc, check google images, you will see that many others have come up with similar themes and/or ideas for the PPC , point is that while you may think your work is a original idea, there are others that have had the same idea as you and may have never seen what you have created. one of them is even using the same exact logo that you used, (btw that Intel logo is patented but lets not go there)

Are you going to go after them as well ? Probably not, (some themes are not as advance as some of the current theme's due to the advances made in skinning ).


Why not give this guy the benefit of the doubt before condemning him and his work ?

I really do not want to see you leave , that is your choice to do so, but you really should think this through, rather then "picking up your toys going home mode "

BTW, Never did i take someones side. i just saw that wapvirus used some of his stuff like little details but still you should always give credit.

this thread is a mess!

if you ask me, all kind of themes for all the apps out there need a separate thread called 'Themes and Skins' like the diamond has.

anyways, i was searching for theme in this thread but cannot find it anymore. the post where i asked for it, got kinda lost and nobody cares to help :'(

i even asked someone in a pm, but he seems to judge from postcounts. is that the new spirit of this site?
