Inspired by the news Metro Design of the Windows Phone 7 Series I'm working on some

Windows Phone 7 Metro Icons

By now I've done a few - see screenshots - that matches to (not all) my fav programs. The icons itself are transparent so they look best on a darker background. Currently they are 96 x 96 pixels - way enough for my 4x4 grid from coOkies hometab.

It's quite a heavy work because there are not many suiteable templates for clear icons around the web. So I will not promise to update them daily :)

Installation:
1) Download the ZIP from the link below and copy the extracted folder somewhere on your SD card
2) User JWMD Icon Changer or CSMI to replace the existing icons
3) Don't forget to save :)
4) Open Filexplorer and navigate to "Application Data" --> "HTC" --> "ProgLauncher" and delete all existing files in that folder
5) Softreset
6) You should be "Metro-ed" :)

Update 24.3.: 47 icons until now with help of pray2live! more to come!

Windows Phone 7 Startup Picture

You also find a new "welcomehead.png" for your device. Just download the zip attached (or visit my website - link below) here, extract it and copy the png to your SD card. Use Resco Explorer or Total Commander to copy it directly to the Windows directory on your device (overwrite the old one).

Download Startup Picture (with german instructions) here: http://www.mobilitynews.net/?p=11006

Windows Phone 7 Startup Animation

The perfect match :)

You'll find a matching startup animation for your device. Just download the zip (animated.zip) from my website, extract it and copy the gif to your SD card. Use JWMD Icon Changer ("Menu" -> "Bonus Features" -> "Change Animated Bootscreen") to get it working :)

Download Startup Animation (with german instructions) here: http://www.mobilitynews.net/?p=11006

Have fun and feel free to ask for icons for your programs...

The next step of my WP7S Metro design series is the

Windows Phone 7 Metro Lockscreen

You'll find a ZIP with a CAB and the matching background picture (you all know how to setup a lockscreen background :)) here (with german instructions): http://www.mobilitynews.net/?p=11018

Update 25.3.: changes in display for next appointment (see screenshot above). Now it's possible to see more information there (as requested)
Update 13.4.: take a look at MyMetroLock! The perfect Lockscreen - with customization: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6063785&postcount=1

Not everything is perfect with this - I'm still diggin into that whole stuff :)

They are better then my hubstyle icons!

So i made 42 new icons in your metro style. :)

Here they are:
cool! really like them! some of them (mostly the text based) don't "match" to what I was thinking of - I'd really prefer symbols than plain text and on the other issue the circle was a little bit too small :)
If you want continue helping me PM me for the original Photoshop template...

shrinking question?

cool! really like them!
very cool icons, I´m enjoying them a lot on my phone, one quick question, can you tell me how to re-sized them a little bit (I´m using a Samsung Omnia i900 WQVGA resolution) the thing is that i´m using them on a windows 7 theme made for spb shell http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=649362 and your icons match perfect what i was looking for but when I used the medium size they don´t look good, then when I used medium (big icon) option on spb they look spectacular but a little to big for my phone so I´m guessing that if I re-sized them a little and copy them again to phone they will look just perfect.
attach a couple of pictures to show you what I mean...

thanks in advance for any help you provide me and congratulations again for a very cool job with this icons, I'll be waiting for future additions.

slds,
jota
