- Added SONY ERICSSON FONT: Will apply to VolumeControl, CommManager & Camera, optionl font in word etc. [PS: should I make the font bigger ?? tell me what do you think !!]

22 feb 09: SEX1 ALUM VolumeControl I
- Based on Itje's Touch-IT porting from HTC Volume Control (WVGA full screen display)
- Font changed to Tahoma, resized from 18 to 16 points (I didn't like how it looked)
- Changed label "Ringer" for "Phone" (why? because!) May like to have "silent" instead of "mute" too ??
- Skinned buttons and Volume bars to match SEX1 ALUM series - my artwork adding a touch of Xperia-esque metallic brushed alluminum finish to the "vibrate" and "silent" buttons and the volume bars - the attached pics don't honor the great looks of it !!
- Fixed DLL locale from chinese to WWEnglish 0409

INSTRUCTIONS
1- Uninstall any other HTC VolumeControl app first (REQUIRED or you may not be able to uninstall later)
2- Install SDKCERTS (REQUIRED or may not work properly because I signed the system files with a Private Developer SDK certificate)
3- Copy the CAB to your phone and click it to install
4- Restart phone immediately (IMPORTANT)

NOTICES
- Standard taskbar speaker icons included; special speaker icons can be added on request
- As always, feel free to edit/share/change/mod/tweak my work; and of course, if cheffs find it useful it can be cooked into any recipe
- If you want to get rid of the standard "beeps" go to \windows\ and delete "Volume-20", "Volume-40", "Volume-60", "Volume-80" & "Volume-100" (Tip thanks to jcsxda)
- Developers/cookers ZIP package with all source files on post 2 (including the Sony Ericsson-like font)

I missed the HTC Volume Control from my ole diamond, and the Touch-IT Volumecontrol solution was not working as I wanted into my Xperia, so I decided to tweak the program myself to make it better and a little Xperia-esque

IMHO the Tahoma font at 16 points looks great and the brushed alluminum buttons were a must: I bleeding needed to integrate this app with my phone

Whatsmore, it's 100% compatible with tsowen's taskbars, FInixNOver's icons, Angelusz's works over tsowen and my taskabar

You wanna cook ?? I posted the tweaked DLL, MUI and PNG files to share with all of you, so go ahead and have fun Norti

PS: The MUI file is WWE 0409, but I can edit the text to whatever you want

Have been looking for something more finger-friendly than the system volume control ...one question -will it work on standard ROM running normal today? Or does it require manilla to be installed / running?
Am hoping i can use it without TF3D etc (as I don't use that) -beautiful graphics!!

You don't need manila, it works alone

I appreciate this (and all) works, but why should I use this instead of Touch-IT HTC volume control? skin?

If you like the font of the original one and can live with it's landscape mode then you don't need this one

Main difference is this is not a plain "transplant" from Blackstone, I have worked it (re-scripted DLL & MUI and skinned PNG) to better match the Xperia

And 1 other thing, An SE style manilla dialer would be amazing, i really liked that dialler before i removed tf3d and settled with spb mobile shell 2.0

1- install it into the DEVICE, not the SD card (files must be copied to /windows/)

2- Install the Xperia original dialpad, go to this thread

One quick question -is there a way to stop (or customise) the confirmation sounds ...the beeps each time you change the volume level?
I just want it to be silent -no beeps when changing volume ...is this possible?

Works perfectly. Thank you for this! My only complaint is the default speaker icon. I will need to reinstall darklord's icon, but that is forgiveable.

Since many taskbar icons sets and HTC VolumeControl both use the same DLL file, one will always replace the other

Plan A: Uninstall darklord's icons, install VolumeControl, reinstall darklord's icons

Plan B:Gimme the speaker icons you want into VolumeControl and I can cook them for you

Thanks for your kind words, but I am more a "skinner" than a "programmer"

The "beep" is normal behaviour on every HTC VolumeControl

I have no clue on where to change it, but I will take a look inside the DLL guts again

The idea is great, but it does kill my volume icon.

I don't see why, as there's no Windows DLLs being replaced, very odd.
What can be the cause?
