I'm sorry if the answer to my question is hidden somewhere in another thread. I tried very hard with a number of searches and could not dig up anything specific to my question.
I have flashed my OnePlus 3T with SkydragonOS and it works fine. I really like the OS. However, I decided to put on microG rather than Gapps and after getting it mostly working, I have now been stuck for a while on two issues:
1. The Google Cloud Messaging implementation works for most apps but not for all. I have tried a number of apps and most like e.g. Chromium and Whatsapp register fine while others do not register. So far, the ones I have found which do not register were Signal and Threema. This happens even if I wipe, flash Skydragon, Magisk and Nanodroid, switch on the full Google integration and only then install apps. Signal and Threema will always refuse to register and also show the corresponding warning about Play Services being absent on startup. I have read up on the whole setup quite a bit but cannot make sense of this.
2. The microG self-check tells me that signature spoofing is supported. However, the boxes for "System grants signature spoofing permission", "System spoofs signature", "Play Services has correct signature and Play Store has correct signature" are unticked. Given my problem described in the first question, I am wondering if that is sufficient or, if not, how I fix it.
Happy to provide further information if I left out anything important. The only other detail I can think of right now is that I sideloaded all of the above via TWRP.
