Im confused, does the DHD definitely have an SuperLCD screen? or is it a standard LCD screen?

It's a SD-LCD that was made especially for this phone. It stands for Super Duper Lemon-Cherry Drops
To awnser your question, it has S-LCD.
It is stated everywhere when you search on google. Couldn't find a offcial statement from HTC that fast, but if you just search you find it out.
Why do you want to know?
(S-lcd has uses IPS instead of a tn-panel) No I can't explain what it means. Lolz :')

I wanted to know because i had read that it hadnt
They claimed that HTC never actually said it does (and i couldnt find anywhere that stated it did) and people just assumed it was SLCD...

Then why does it say 'Amoled' when you go on web pages which offer pay monthly/pay as you go deals?? But after research it has been confirmed as S-LCD
No it hasn't got Amoled. The site you read that state that are wrong.
It initially was the planning to put AMOLED on there, but the manufacturer of those displays had problems. Therfore HTC wouldn't get the AMOLED displays.
The more recent articles (that aren't faulty) state that is has S LCD.
A source that is right most of the time is pocketnow.com. They also state when it's about a rumor or when is it is real and what their sources are.

desire HD has an improved LCD screen, 16M colors, improved black levels and sharp definition
however its not SLCD, levels between white and black are a little washed out and its viewing angles are weak
compared to the HD2/EVO screens its much better, its actually a little cleaner compared to the SLCD desire screen (more successful text anti alising) however the colours and view angles are weaker, its also possible to see the pixel grid in grey areas if you are too picky
coming from SLCD desire to the DHD screen, it felt like a downgrade in quality, few days after i started to like it, the definition is very smooth and at 4.3 inch everything is more enjoyable

Okay if S-LCD means IPS then DHD definitely doesn't have an S-LCD.
If it's IPS then the viewing angle should be really wide.

So I did some research.
So I called HTC to ask the question. The girl had to look up it. Said: it's TFT LCD. I said: I know. But is it S-LCD, it's a new generation of screens, you used it also one the normal Desire when it wasn't an AMOLED screen.
She said it are the newer screens.
In this forum someone has it in his title that he emaild HTC and they said it is SLCD.

This last youtube video is probably the explanation why HTC hasn't stated it's SLCD and that is actually is S-LCD.

But when I hear the girl laughing when she tell it, I can't stop thinking they just called it Super-LCD to mock samsung with their Super AMOLED and it is stil a regular S-LCD.
