What is AOSP?

AOSP is Android as Google publish without other modifications. More or less AOSP is the Nexus devices stock rom without gapps.

Difference to AOSP:

• some changes from CodeAurora Forum and CyanogenMod to get it working.
• Made "Clear All" button in Recents visible
• Option to delete screenshots from the notification area

How can I install it?

1) Place ROM & Gapps in your virtual SD

2) Reboot in Recovery Mode

3) Go to "Recovery"

4) Wipe Data/Factory Reset

5) Wipe Dalvik cache

6) Install the ROM zip

7) Install the Gapps zip

8) Reboot

For people who are facing bootloop issue. Follow this:

*flash rom
*gapps( banks recomended)
*supersu (i used 2.67)
*then flash this https://basketbuild.com/filedl/devs?dev=thewisenerd&dl=thewisenerd/ferrari/firmware-lp-6.6.10.0.zip

Please don't ask @Shahan_mik3 for adding features: I don't have any plans to add feature x y or z cause rom a b and c have it. SlimBit will stay as pure AOSP as possible.

Base has to be MIUI 5.6.11 only? Can it be version 6?
Also, the step 3 mentioned by you in installation instructions looks awakward:
3) Go to "Recovery" (Vol -) and confirm (Vol +)

Can it be installed over CM 13 or do we need to start from MIUI afresh? Can we do dirty flash over CM13?

It boot up only once.. All other times it just go to boot animation and finally took me to recovery mode. I tried with / without gapps, but no luck. Was eager to use slim, as it was my daily driver during the nexus 4 days.

1. Its not based on Slimrom
2. A logcat of the bootloop would be helpful

@Shahan_mik3 I was trying to build aosp but it boots into recovery after the Mi logo... any idea why? Using the same vendor, device and kernel tree...

ok i installed it with TWRP 3.0 ,Gapps Stock(opengapps) and booted . Now i am stuck on optimizing thing ! so seems like some problems with the package with Rom .

Worked after an hour of optimization .LOL 268 apps !
