My Huawei P10 Lite is charging very slow and just increment by 1 % in 5 minutes. The charging is slow in summer and it is fast in winter. The phone back and charger gets hot in summer. When I switched it off and then apply charging to it, it charges fast. I don't know what is the problem with it? In summer,my area temperature reaches to 40 Celsius degree. Please help

You pretty much answered the question yourself. To prevent overheating it charges slower. When it's turned off it generates less heat and can therefore charge faster. When ambient temperature is high it charges slowly.

It's doing exactly ehat my xa2 should be doing, conserving battery life (capacity)

I think it should not do this way.As the model is made for different regions so mine is made for my region and it should not charge slow then. What you say?

It's physics. There is absolutely no way for them to counteract the effects of warm temperatures other than to slow down charging. If you had air conditioning you'd probably be able to get fast charging to work.

The variants of a model generally don't have that many differences. It is a mass produced product after all. Mostly it's down to software. Occasionally RAM/storage configuration (which is also the case with this phone) and on rare occasions it goes deeper than that.
