It's been ages since i've messed around with flashing firmware. As the title says, I have a SM-F936U that WAS locked to Verizon. It no longer is, and I would like to flash the unlocked/unbranded firmware onto it as I hate Verizon's extra pushed junk they add. I browsed the firmwares. Is it the firmware from SM-F936U1 that I want? On the link https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-F936U1/ACG what does CSC mean?

Yes, you can flash U1 for the US model without carrier branding.
CSC means Consumer Software Customization, certain carriers/markets might get different software sets.
