OK, the bug of the gallery freezing has come back. I've taken a picture with the camera and whenever I tap it to see it, it doesn't matter if I do it through the gallery app or the explorer app, the mobile freezes and you got to kill the app.

A quick fix is to install just another file explorer, and you can use its own photo viewer.

I haven't understood the issue still. Is it about baseband not being detected and saying "Unknown", or what? any logs?

I do not have any logs nor know a lot about this situation (I have installed these versions waay too much to try them again ;D). The thing is, mobile data (internet) works. It's just calling and sending messages that doesn't work. Latest version that works very well was 20161123, the following (and all the later ones), 20161207 does not work. So if you would go through all the things that you have changed between those updates, I think you should find where did you go wrong.

So I'm trying LineAge ROM: Clean install with Nano GApps (to see if that will cause problems): Keyboard takes twice the space than usual at the very beginning of first boot (when trying to login to Google at the setup (where you set language, connect to wifi and stuff))... I would put screenshot, but it doesn't happen anywhere later. Looks like I still cannot send/receive messages (and after booting it takes a bit longer time for Sim Card to be recognised). Tell me where to get logs (without ADB) and I will send them. (Please be quick about it. I have no intentions to sit a long time with a phone that can't call/send/receive messages). In 'Phone Status' Baseband version says G3815XXU.... And I can use 3G/4G internet (so I don't think problem is somewhere in Baseband..)
PicoTTS stopped (not a problem for me, looks like one-time event).
Still, A huge gap in system tray when I set battery status icon to text.

Edit: I have sent you some logs in private message. I do not know what kind of information is in there, so I didn't want to make it public. I hope it will be useful.
Also, I have tried installing other app for messaging (24sms, it allows to send messages for free through the internet). It showed me an error: "We could not get your phone number."

ADB log is attached.

I will upload tomorrow mine if that will not be enough. :)
EDIT: I have sent them to kotzir through PM.
Some small bugs: I cannot go through phone's setup (just after the first boot) without adding Google account. When I click 'Next' for the last time, it returns me to connect to WiFi and with connected WiFi I cannot skip (If I remember correctly) the login to Google account.
And Earlier I was talking about keyboard-size white blank thing above the keyboard (Only appears in that setup mode just after first boot). There are some screenshots.
Screenshot 1. Without the keyboard
Screenshot 2. With the keyboard. Red Circle marks half-dots (which should be full dots) that make up password. Also you can see 'eye' icon cut a bit from bottom
These are not big issues, but it's better without them :)

Dear @kotzir
we need this rom ASAP because it's a lot important that is fully working.
In fact, we switched to LineageOS and Cyanogenmod doesn't exist anymore.
Please fix your rom and make it stable as the 23th November 2016
Our phone will not dead if you fix it.
The bugs in the latest build (and the ones after the 23th ones) are:
- unable to make/receive voice calls (including Whatsapp ones)
- unable to send/receive sms

Also, in the 23th build videocalling and calling by whatsapp doesn't work.
It's not a problem for me but I think this is gonna to making troubles to other people so please, make sure you fix these issues as soon as possible.
We really need about your work and if we can help you we'll surely do.

See ya.

WARNING! This ROM is for the SM-G3815 variants only!

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1.1 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    Q/A thread:
Please use the above unless you have something development-related to contribute here. Thank you.

     * Your warranty is now void.
     * We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

    LOS-14.1 Install Guide

Note: LOS for Galaxy Express 2 is provided with no warranty. You are installing this software at your own risk. You may be violating your warranty.

Download LOS-14.1 and OpenGapps zips and put in /sdcard

Before you install LOS-14.1: Preparation (First three are optional. If you want to start fresh, these can be skipped)
    1. Install AppBak from Market, run it and save a list of all your apps.
    2. Install SMS Backup and Restore from Market, run it and backup your SMS history.
    3. Install Call Logs Backup and Restore from Market, run it and backup your call log history.
    4. Boot into TWRP recovery. Make a full backup. You will need this backup later if you decide to go back to your previous ROM and data.
WARNING: Many apps will Force Close crash if you restore data from a previous ROM.

    1. Use TWRP Recovery from the attachments for now!!
      • Warning: Only use the recovery from the attachments to flash LOS-14.1. Otherwise, you risk bricking your phone!
    2. Wipe system, data, dalvik and cache. (For clean installation)
    3. Flash lineage-14*.zip.
    4. Flash gapps*.zip.
    5. Reboot phone.
    6. After you setup your Google account, reinstall the three apps from Market in order to restore most of your apps, call log and SMS history.
    7. Warning: Do not restore backup data of system apps!
      • If you restore a bad backup with cached settings in telephony.db in data/data/com.*.*.telephony it can break MMS.
      • It seems that restoring backups can also break Calendar sync.

Upgrades from previous versions of LOS-14.1 are the same process as install, except you do not need to wipe anything. Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to even wipe cache and dalvik-cache when upgrading between LOS-14.1 versions. You only need to wipe if you are doing a major upgrade, switching to a different ROM entirely, or attempting to fix bugs caused by bad backups or corrupt app data.
