Nice. You just used the international twrp recovery?

The recovery I used is for all Qualcomm s5, if you use twrp manager app in play store, click install and choose klte, and let it do its thing, it works.

Cool so just root and do that? Is there a stock recovery file I can have for backup?

How would I make a non rooted completely stock backup if I ever want to go back?

You can Yeah. And the odin firmware flash file is available for a full stock flash. I have it.

Nice. Could you upload it somewhere for me?

The Odin is the usual pda flash in download mode?

Should be. Believe it pulls from sim card on compatible roms (like our Stock). I guess it's better to be safe and backup anyway.

Awesome. How's that kernel you're running? You're running it on the stock rom?

It's pretty good. Running on stock rom, still playing with it. There's a crap ton of options.. Still reading what everything does.. Lol. It and recovery trips Knox warranty flag tho but I believe odin back to stock fixes it if necessary at any point.

Thank you so much for the information. If this helps any, let me explain some progress I Have made with Bluegrass Variant.

- Inserted T-Mobile US SIM. Under network settings, I Was only able to selected CDMA/LTE, no GSM Options.

-Rooted with TR, AT&T Safestrap. Backed up stock bluegrass rom, wiped and flashed a VZW ROM. GSM option was now available, but when I selected it, it would not "stick". It would simply reset back to a CDMA option even after selecting global. FYI I was getting prompted to switch to global mode, and I was getting the VZW message for unauthorized SIM.

-I Was able to manually select T-Mobile from Network Operators, no Calls/SMS was working

-Tried various Service Mode apps, was able to enter service mode and attempted to force GSM only settings. I was able to get full 4G LTE Data with my T-Mobile SIM card, I COULD NOT USE CALL/SMS!

I will now attempted TWRP and flash a GSM based ROM - I will try an AOSP based rom first.

You'll need to look into kernels for that too. Ktoonsez has TW and aosp kernels for s5.
