I really don’t know. My phone had the 930A before I start, but for your info, was unlocked, (any SIM card-in my case Greek, was accepted. If your phone is locked to one carrier (ATT), I’m not sure if it will work....

Sorry if this has been asked already, there's a lot of pages to go through and have no idea if new methods or info has been found since the start of this thread.

I have s7 g930a (unlocked) and am in the UK (England), I'm currently stuck on 6.0, if I follow this tutorial and get g930u, would I receive OTA updates from Samsung even here?

Also if I change from g930a to g930u - can I then unlock the bootloader and install custom ROMs?

Hey guys, I have a g930a and trying to update it from original software to g930u oreo (latest XAA firmware from sammobile). It's not working.

I tried with latest Odin and also Odin from princecomsy. I tried on a PC and on a notebook. I had a variety of errors, Odin showing different messages, but never flashing. Now the phone doesn't start. I get a Samsung screen saying I have to take it to the service.

Also tried a nougat sammobile firmware and i was the same.

This is the latest log error:

I don't even remember, but there is a fixed version of Odin for these models. And the firmware from sammobile.
I do it, finally, but i'm trying to flash this convertion firmware to unlock the sim card, with no succes.
I try a lot of versions of Odin, and always fail the instalation, have any idea how i'll do that?
I'm now with a rooted official 930A oreo firmware (SuperSu, original bootloader)!

I flashed the SM-G930U on my SM-G930T. But before that I had 4G LTE in my room. After flashing the U firmware, the phone never gets a signal (Emergency Calls Only). Outdoors, I have strong reception.

Tried reverting to T-mobile's firmware but it also fails to get reception in my room.

Ive tried different odins and tried going back to the stock firmware, with no luck. I need this fixed asap please, we need my phone for everything. TIA.

I think it depends on the fact that your rom is version 4 while I on galaxy sm.g930a I am already at version 8 (bootloader)
Is it possible to do something? with the original AT&T firmware I have problems with the telephone signal

So I flashed the firmware successfully and got to the setup screen, and I had to deal with FRP. I did as it asked and entered the previously synced email. However, upon doing so it asks me to enter it again in a never ending cycle. What do I do?
