[SM-G955N] Samsung Galaxy S8+ Korean 128GB + 6GB Support Thread

Hi Nicholas,
I bought a S8+, G955N (LG U+) in Korea to use in US under Verizon network. Back to the state. the phone can detect 4G LTE data (aka using data to connect to the internet, skype, fb, gmail, wifi calling etc) but it can not actually make any call using voice service, Whenever I try to dial and call someone, the 4G LTE bar switches to 3G, then slowly losing all the single bar and the call fails. The verizon sim was recognized by the phone just fine.

Have you tried rooting the device and flashing my rom on it? You can then flash a VZW CSC on it.

Hey i have posted somewhere else but really do need help because i just brought this sweet phone. To anyone willing to help. i have install the new official update on my s8+ sm-g955n version using odin and all went well but after i then went to flash twrp i didnt get to hold the bixby,power and up botton in time and its just stock on boot logo, cant reboot to to recovery nothing and not flashing over aswel just says no pit file. so it leads me to smart switch emergency but here is where it gets better my phone didn't came with the sticker on the back so i can't see the serial number and since this phone is the koreon version i cant understand a thing on the box. can someone share with me there serial number for the sm-g955n version so i can try please or pit file of the device thank you.

Do not flash the rebase version from AFH for full stock experience.

TWRP does not support AQG5 bootloader yet. You'll have to flash to stock first.

Hey sorry for the noob question but, it looks like the latest firmware for the 955N is AQG7...did they skip AQG5 for this model? Trying to run updated RENOVATE ICE ROM but the latest release is for AQG5. Do I just wait for the ROM release to catch up? ?

There isn't two SIM modules inside the phone. You could get the Indian 128GB + 6GB variant if you wanted dual SIM.

Hello, I bought SM-G955N model (6GB rom + 128 GB, Exynos), I am not able to use SAMSUNG PAY in INDIA (It always shows to use korean sim) so i need help in fixing this issue and my phone is not rooted and running on STOCK OS

1) Can you please tell me how to make the SAMSUNG PAY work
2) How to install STOCK ROM of SM-G955FD (6GB rom + 128 GB, Exynos) to my phone

*I dont minded loosing warranty*

2) You will have to flash a custom ROM because there is no stock ROM of SM-G955FD -- models are different so Odin won't flash.

1) Samsung Pay is permanently locked to Korea. You can't modify this. If you modify it, you will trip KNOX, which will break Samsung Pay EVEN in Korea.

2) You can't flash other model's stock firmware on your device. SM-G955N only accepts SM-G955N firmware.
