I took my wifes Samsung Galaxy Note 3. At boot, it does not bring a model after the "Samsung Galaxy Note 3 boot" picture shows. So, I thought it was SM-N9005 naturally because at the sticker behind, it had that. Sooooo, when I used it for some time it crashed and started bring something popping up something to do with "android has stopped"
I was blue of everything completely. So, I said why not try and flash a custom rom. WHAM!!!!
I have been fighting with the phone since August 3rd 2018. Finally I have it running. Now, the steps I went through, I believe the way the information was scattered all over the forum and all that, That is why I even put the topic up there the type of board and the sticker are totally different. A lot I learned from the forum jumping from this topic to the next and using Youtube as well.
Software required:
Odin3 v3.07
For this specific mobile, I had flashed so many and went through alot of fails through Odin, bootloops, null imei, loosing data and softbricking. The final which worked perfectly for me was N900PVPUDNK4_N900PSPTDNK4_SPR which I got from stockroms website, "Use google to search for that site"
Instructions:
I believe everyone here nows how to use Google if you don't know how to use Odin.
Flash the rom.
Do a factory reset.
Restart the Handset, all steps complete.
Now, if you have the issue of sim lock, download Region Lock apk install and follow prompts.
I had the issue of sim lock. Dialed *#0011# and tried to check it out and followed instructions on youtube and on XDA. And helped me abit to work about my issue of knowing sim status if locked. Then, I changed baseband to GSM/UMTS using the command above. Then, I used Region Lock to unlock the handset. Ohhhhh, sorry, installed two. SSU. I cant remember which worked but one of them did. If you want links there everywhere on this forum for the SSU and the Region Lock and instructions.
But why am I doing this, It took me a full month to get it working. I don't want someone to go through the same process. One should know there PDA and CSC before trying any flashing. If the phone has crashed, first consult and then go into the phone info and know what your flashing. Otw, KUDOS>
