CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 5.0 (Lollipop), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

Code:
#include

/*
 * Your warranty is now void.
 *
 * We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
 * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
 * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
 * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
 * you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
 *
 */
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

Instructions

First time flashing CyanogenMod 12.0 your device, or coming from another ROM?
Download the zip(s).
Install a compatible Recovery
Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM (Optional)
Wipe data & cache partitions of your device (required when coming from stock!).

Special thanks

Christopher R. Palmer (SM-T520 maintainer).
He helped me a lot during the initial bring and we still chat on Exynos5420 related matters quite frequently. Without him, this build wouldn't have arrived as fast as it did.

Thanks so much, great to see the project come to life so quickly, keep up the great work :good:

I'm downloading now, will report back with feedback. A note to people downloading, I would recommend using TWRP 2.6.33 because newer builds have issues

Thanks for the fast release.
/*
I tried to install the zip using twrp 2.7 and it doesn’t work.
Unable to install not a valid file.
Will try with 2.6 later.
*/
Edit :
Working with twrp 2.6, but I was doing it wrong anyway, so could work with 2.7.

Some feedback after flashing, recents is not working, I tried long pressing the home button and recents didn't show, I tried double tapping it and I also tried holding down the menu and back buttons separately but nothing.
Device cannot be woken via the home button, power button must be used.
Root works fine.

Otherwise this is pretty good for an initial build. Quite fast and it's great that we have Lollipop but there are bugs as can be expected. If any logs are needed for bug fixing I am happy to provide them if they help :good:

Is this Android 5.0 based ROM?

The top most post talks about KitKat 4.4.4 and you wrote about Lollipop....so which one is it?

I am running CM 11 unofficial ROM for the P600 WiFi only model. CM11 is very stable so far!
If this is CM 12 then it likely is Lollipop.... Please confirm / deny

Hmm, 'recents' never worked for me on CM-11.0 either, but that might have been just me derping. Anyways, it's simple to assign 'recents' to anything we like, I'm not sure if I prefer double tap (home) over double tap (recents) or vice versa. Long press is also an option. Let me know what you guys think so we can work something out.
In the meantime, I'm trying to fix Camera/Camcorder right now, I'll keep you guys posted on progress :)

I also want to take a look at Manta's Widevine DRM libs to see if they work for us so we can gain DRM support on L without major hacks.

I personally would like to have the menu button as my recents button. But thats just so its consistent with my note 12.2. Probably would be best to have it as long press home button as that is the default for the p600.

I think I answered my question.

RaymanFX thanks for working so fast on this rom !
Please update the warranty bit of your post from 4.4.4( kitkat) to Android 5.0 Lollipop .

I am very keen on Lollipop and thanks to all developers working on it!
You are a star!

5 Ghz wifi wasn't working for me, but it looks like the fix is pretty common. Taken from what enotar posted in the other ROM:
Browse to /etc/wifi/ . Look for a file name nvram_net.txt Edit this file and change a couple of the keys to the values mentioned below(please take a backup before changing them):
ccode=US
regrev=5
Save the file. Reboot and check if 5ghz is visible now.

That fixed it for me.

Now for a few bugs I've noticed after 30 mins or so of use after flashing:
1) The location notification doesn't seem to go away for some reason even though location is off, this was a problem in one of the cm12 alphas for the galaxy s5 as well I believe.
2) when opening the recents menu, some of the apps have these random horizontal lines across them, not a big deal. Just a UI bug or something it looks like.
3) Home button does not wake, also a bug I think in the cm12 alphas for the GS5 rom.

I'll include the 5GHZ wifi fix in the next build, thanks for pointing that out :)
I don't have the location notification bug here, could you please check on today's build after it's up (in a few hours) and let me know if it's still there?
Home button wake will also be fixed in the next build.

The Privacy menu in Settings crash the Settings application.

Very stable and fast for my usage.
Confirmed, I guess it's a CM bug though, I'll check on my latest build and report it to CM if the bug persists.

I've been using it for a couple of hours, it's an amazing start. I was expecting something a lot more buggy for a first build. No crashes yet, good performance. As said previously the home button doesn't wake the tablet, that's the only minor inconvenience I found so far. That and I can't find the official twitter app on the play store.

How do you get to reassign the recents apps key?
Tried anything I could think off in CM12 using the hardware keys but no joy.
In CM 11 you can get the soft keys that nexus have...I like them more than the hardware keys
