Nevermind. Backed up my stuff and fired up SamFw Tool. Was expecting to have forcing CSC factory reset but it rebooted and came back up just fine. Had no signal and SIM Manager wasn't working so I rebooted a second time. Once it came back, it popped up asking me to choose which SIM to program the phone for and at that point I disabled CID Manager with ADB AppControl. Rebooted again and now I'm XAA/XAA,XAA/XAA and I can swap between my SIM cards at will without having to reboot.

If you want a rootable device, US and Canadian models are useless and worthless to you. So yes, you should return it for a refund and buy a different model which does have OEM Unlock
Gotcha, which would have to be a carrier specific phone instead? My wife got the same phone and activated on ATT and her model code is different from mine but still unlocked ultra,

Alright, i'll just get mine from att, didn't want to be carrier locked but that sucks they didn't get oem unlock for the unlocked version, make it useless for those that wanna root.

I don't think you're paying ANY attention to what I've been saying.

1. You said your wife got hers from AT&T

2. Your wife's model number ends in U

3. I said that model numbers ending in U, U1, and W are NOT bootloader unlockable

4. If you also buy a phone from AT&T, it will also end in U, and will also NOT be unlockable

she didn't get hers from att, we got same ones unlocked from bestbuy so we're both U1 but if ATT is U as well, then i'll just get a motorola so i can root that

So I keep reading that you need to wait 7 days and then some say you can't. Should I just return this phone to att?
