right it does seem strange that samsung would release the update to their device after everyone else, although i seem to remember a post about how the samsung u1 version has everyones junk built in i guess.

What happens if you flash U1 while temp unlocked on T-Mobile? Will the unlock stick past the 30 days? I do know you can't temp unlock while on U1 which sucks. Only reason I havent went to U1 yet. My S22U I was able to get it unlocked, but T-Mobile wont budge now for requesting unlock unless fully paid off.

Sim Unlock can not be made permanent or stick longer than allowed by Carrier regardless of what firmware you flash. Also Tmobile budges based on your standing and type of account. I have never had issues getting my devices unlocked but yeah i pay more than needed.

12 lines, aged long standing account. Perm unlocked 10 or so phones in the last 3 years without issue. But something changed several months ago and they no longer will unless military/deployment.
